I don’t typically acknowledge it, but turning 37 is wild.

I spent years wondering if certain beams or railings would be sturdy enough to hold me. Needless to say, I didn’t think I’d see 32.

I feel like embracing this one and the work I’ve done the last 5-6 years. Medicated dull eyes coming back to life. Traded in insecurity for confidence and the right kind of fuck you attitude.

I’m not afraid of expressing my emotions. I know who I am.

Still sad, but also pretty fucking rad.

It’s been a vanity summer of toolbag mirror selfies and wearing bare minimum clothing aside from a baggy clothed leg day.

Mainly cause the kid in the last slide that rarely left the house wouldn’t believe it.

While off social media, I had @midwestphil throw a special piece on me. 2023 freshly done and 3 years healed in 2026.

I bought this flash print during the pandemic and it’s the last thing Steve and I spoke about before he died. Steve was my sounding board for all things in life and my fellow American trad enthusiast.

This one is a reminder of you every day. I love you and I miss you bud. Talk to you soon.

Last handful of years.

From suicidal to stable. Medicated to self regulated.

A lot of bullshit, but a solid chunk of good that I’m able to recognize at the same time.

I got to meet @movementsofficial and thank them for making their record that legitimately stopped me from killing myself. It had that big of an impact on me that I have their lyrics tattooed on my head as a reminder.

Also got to meet @jaytaj and have a few minute conversation about mental health and the pressures we put on ourselves. “Build the house one brick at a time”.

I fall off the grid, but I have some good people that don’t toss me to the curb for it. I’m grateful for that.

Feeling that low is awful and the last couple years, I’ve really tried to not hold this stuff in anymore.

Being sad doesn’t make you weak.

If I’m going to use social media, I want to use it for good reasons and putting a spotlight on mental health. Knowing someone can relate to you can be make or break in sticking around.

Still have work to do, but I’m a lot better than I was.

Surprise. I’m not dead.

I don’t even know if Instagram will put this on anyone’s algorithm. I deactivated this account 4.5 years ago. The last time it was active, I was in the middle of a multi year mental breakdown and social media was bad for my health. I’ve had trembling anxiety even contemplating reactivating this page for over a year. The person that fills my previous posts doesn’t exist anymore and seeing my former life scares the shit out of me.

I’ve come a long way with a lot of life changes since then. I’ve been in therapy, I finished massage school, worked at a spa for a couple years, got fired from the spa for trying to rent a room one day a week, and decided to go full time on my own.

Begrudgingly, I knew I had to be on social media. It’s been a year and a half out on my own and trying my best to be active on social media for the sake of my business.

I built a space close to my heart that contains my personality and energy. It’s a space that’s accepting of anyone and everyone without judgement. The black sheep, the outcasts, those that don’t walk the beaten path. I enjoy helping people feel better mentally and physically while staying true to who I am.
