Bringing awareness to what’s happening to the Garifuna people in Honduras. In the chorus of this song I’m singing “give me space” in the Garifuna language. The Honduran government is taking ancestral land from the Garifuna tribes and peoples who have been there for generations and it doesn’t get covered by media as much because the people being displaced are melanated so of course the world doesn’t care as much.

It’s cool how something you learned in one part of your life can be used in another way.
When I learned how to juggle a soccer ball I didn’t realize I was training my brain’s ability to focus but that’s what I was doing.
Meditation is another way to train your “focus muscle”. Now I realize that juggling a soccer ball was a way that I meditated before I knew how to go “inward”. It grounded me, taught me to focus on my breath and the ball, just like when you’re meditating, you focus on your breath and your thoughts.

Last Friday I shot the music video for “Only G.O.D.”, a song releasing on my next project! Thank you to everyone who pulled up and was a part of the video shoot, it was fun!

This was my 1st music video in 2 years. During the 2 years I learned how to make beats and record myself, which was one of the best things I could’ve done as a recording artist. Glad to be back putting visuals to the songs I make, it’s one of my favorite parts of releasing music.
