Posted @withregram • @thelocalproject Issue No. 9 Feature • Referencing and reinterpreting the details of neighbouring Victorian-era terraces, @auhaus stitched the heritage streetscape back together with the modern yet timeless façade. Behind this seemingly petite front is an expansive five-bedroom home surrounded by outdoor space.

A fly over of a different kind at Kooyong, because what you see isn’t always the full picture

Caring for our build also means caring for the area we’re building in and the people affected by construction. Last night we met with our neighbours who have been living through every day of this build with us, & although a small gesture, it means a lot to them to be looked after by the builder. With fan deck in hand, we consulted on a small piece of our new brick wall backing onto their pool area to render in a colour they’re happy with & landscape their boundary plants. We never underestimate the importance of maintaining respectful relationships with our neighbours to minimize their stress and maximize our productivity 💫

Every build has its challenges, big & small, and our role as your builder is to assess, communicate and navigate through each one, arriving at the very best outcome for client, architect, consultant and essentially for the homes we build, which very much become our babies!

With Kooyong, we’ve taken an exceptional architectural framework, where 2 dwellings have been designed over a basement carpark, and working with clients & consultants, have developed an interior aesthetic in line with the architectural integrity of its external finishes

What a joy it has been to dive deep within the core of a suburb, to create a personality for these 2 multi level homes

Here is a taste of the finishes & materials making their way to site over the coming weeks now we’ve plastered, rendered and dropped the scaffold 💫
