Two things I almost always want with me: a motorcycle and a camera.

I’ve tried carrying less. I’ve tried leaving the camera behind.

Usually I regret the second one. 😂

For me riding and photography have always worked together. The motorcycle gets me somewhere worth paying attention to, and the camera gives me a reason to slow down once I get there.

Still refining how I carry everything, but the goal is pretty simple:

make stopping for the photograph easy enough that I actually stop.

More on the setup soon.

For @lazpach, mental health isn’t just a buzzword-it’s a ride on two wheels.
As part of the Blue Shield of California team, Laz knows that taking care of others starts with taking care of yourself. When the workday ends, he finds his mental health recharge on his motorcycle, using the open road to recharge, reset, and find his center.
Because sometimes, the best way to clear your head is a ride and a fresh perspective. #motorcycle #movemore by @lazpach

Mexico City gave me more than just memories—it gave me family, flavor, and moments I’ll carry forever. From riding with 600 Harley-Davidsons through the heart of the city, to tasting food that fed both body and soul, to finding safe havens like Arango Riders Room—this trip was a reminder of why I ride, why I travel, and why community matters. 🇲🇽🏍️

The flavors of life we crave aren’t found on grocery store shelves, nor are they sold at market stalls beneath signs promising Hopes & Dreams.

They’re discovered in the most unexpected places.

In a cup of coffee at the foot of a volcano. In a simple plate of plantains and eggs. In the conversations with strangers who become friends, and on the open roads that lead us somewhere we never imagined going.

The richest experiences in life aren’t things we can buy. They’re moments we have to step outside our comfort zones to discover.

And it all begins with movement.

Midnight rides are my favorite. This was down in Long Beach, LA.

Back in the bay.

The story I still have yet to tell… by @lazpach

I photographed a barista in Mexico City even though we didn’t speak the same language. 🇲🇽☕️📷

While photographing coffee at a café in Mexico City, the barista noticed my camera, pointed at himself, and smiled.

A few hand gestures, some smiles, and a little help from ChatGPT later, I understood what he was asking: he wanted me to photograph him making coffee.

He cared about coffee the way I care about photography—the details, the process, getting it just right.

We barely shared words, but we understood what it meant to care about your craft.

His was coffee. Mine was photography.

What’s a connection you’ve made while traveling that you still remember?

A $3 screw just tested almost everything I’d put in place around owning a Ducati.

About 5,000 miles in, I picked up a screw in Freyja’s rear tire and the ride was over.

The tire itself ended up being the least interesting part.

What mattered was everything around it.

The DBK tie-down points I installed and barely thought about suddenly had a purpose.

I needed a motorcycle-specific tow company I trusted with a fully faired Panigale.

I needed a dealer relationship that mattered after the sale, not just when I bought the bike.

And I finally got to find out whether the protection I’d been paying for would actually do its job.

It did.

Allstate towing coverage: the tow was fully reimbursed.
Final tow cost to me: $0.

Ducati Tire & Wheel Protection: the replacement tire, mounting and balancing were fully covered.
Final tire cost to me: $0.

East Bay Motorcycle Tow got Freyja where she needed to go, and SoSo Cycles Concord handled the Ducati side of the situation.

None of this is particularly exciting when you’re buying it.

Roadside coverage.
Tie-down points.
Tire protection.
Knowing your tow provider.
Having a dealer you trust.

Until the day you actually need all of it.

Before your next long ride, know your ownership system.

Save this one before you need it—and send it to the friend who just bought a motorcycle.

Riders: what’s one thing you bought for your bike that seemed unnecessary until the day it wasn’t?

Not sponsored. Just documenting what actually worked for me and Freyja.
