Don’t need anyone proud of me,
I’ve been ascending every time anybody tried to bring me down.
If you ain’t sturdy, I can’t have you 9 toes tipping around me.
ThirtyTwo; Christ conscious on its way no time for off balance plays,
I bet on myself than we flip into a parlay instead of throwing a party.

I know the roads are certain,
my soldiers really out here to break bread.
Make sure you step out of yourself before your ego gets mislead.
Never had to tuck the iron,
my mind sharper than lead,
my mothers prayers protecting me after I step out of the nest,
my father watching from the other side, sometimes it feels like he seeing from overhead.
My surroundings well guarded,
the aura be contagious.
Love me or hate list,
Imma remain persistent,
catch the rays outside,
not in my mind or at my eye lids,
So addicted to the shine,
But never dare to take they own light
that they were already given to spread.

gettin' jiggy with the guysss !

i went into shooting this more as an experiment and test for myself. as some of you may know (even if you don't know), i been tryna learn how to properly colour grade and edit video and i truly think i nailed it! im really happy with how this came out in terms of colours, transitions and editing clips on beat to the music. i especially love the play on colours with the cool blue denim tones that pair with the yellow, green and brown tones. it gives it a nice warm grungy and urban-esque street vibe that kensington gives in the summertime. overall, i think it all came together well and i pray i get to do more fun sidequest projects like this in the future!

thanks to the homies at @plethoraplethoraplethora for helping me execute the vision and bringing it to life. they been on my ass tryna push me to film more video and practice and im glad i listened to em because we made something sooo freakin' dope out of it.

make sure to checkout their vintage shop over in kensington market where @retroheads is! they always got some heat up in there 🔥
