Holiday Market Placitas New Mexico Nov 21,22 come get merry by @lbalombini

The dining room gets more attention in November than it does all year. Long meals deserve something worth looking at.

A practical note for anyone hosting: art above a sideboard or buffet should be about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it, with six to ten inches of space between the two.

That proportion makes a room feel settled instead of accidental.

La Catrina .. women dressed as deceased friends and relatives walk with candles to light the ofrenda alter to welcome them home. They may be gone but never forgotten here in New Mexico. #lacatrina #oldtownalbuquerque #diadelosmuertos💀 by @lbalombini

You're looking at "Sangre de Cristo Mountains" today, which is available in the online gallery.

Clay day.. let's see how this goes by @lbalombini

I want to know what makes you pick something off the shelf and take it home forever. How about with art? Have you identified something that makes art resonate with you, or is it just a spark you can't explain?

Tell me your answer; I'll tell you mine.

"Green Looper Bull" is today's feature. You can find it in my online gallery.
