Wow, what a great two days at the South Florida Build Expo! 🏗️🙌

We had the chance to meet and connect with so many builders, contractors, and professionals from across the construction industry—and one of the best parts was hearing how many of them were already familiar with the LBA and the work we do to bring together the people building South Florida! 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hi, grab some LBA goodies, play a little cornhole, and learn more about our Association and how we can help you make the right connections in the industry. We had such a great time meeting you all!

And of course, a big thank you to the entire @buildexpousa_ team for the invitation and for all the work that went into bringing so many people from our industry together under one roof.

Two busy days, lots of new faces, and even more new connections. We hope to be back again next year! 👋🏗️ taken in Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward County Convention Center by @lbaorg

There’s nothing like hearing what’s ahead for Florida directly from the people helping shape it 🙌.

On Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jared W. Perdue, P.E., Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation and Executive Director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, who gave our members a firsthand look at the projects, changes, and plans underway across our state.

With a room full of new faces, longtime LBA members, industry leaders, and friends of the Association, the afternoon was also filled with plenty of great conversations, new connections, and the kind of networking that has become a signature of our luncheons.

A special thank you to our Title Sponsor, @visualscapeinc , our Associate Sponsor, @trafficollc , and all of our Table Sponsors for helping make the afternoon possible. And, of course, thank you to every member and guest who joined us and continues to make these luncheons a full house month after month.

Another great afternoon with the LBA family—and another sold-out luncheon!

Time to welcome some fresh faces to the LBA! 👋✨

At every luncheon, we continue one of our favorite traditions: officially welcoming our newest members by presenting them with their LBA member plaques.

Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming ECS Florida LLC, Telesco Construction, GFD Design Group, and Rosmel Pools & Outdoor Living to the LBA family! 🎉

So, if you see any of these fresh faces at our next event, now you know who they are! Make sure to stop by, say hello, and give them a warm LBA welcome. After all, every new member is a new connection waiting to be made. 🤝 by @lbaorg

Who needs AI for an ‘80s throwback when you have 55 years of archives? 📸

Proyecto turning 15, one of our first Golf Tournaments, the bright outfits, and the big hair. Swipe through for a little glimpse of what the LBA was up to four decades ago. 👀

This year, the Latin Builders Association celebrates 55 years in Miami. That’s 55 years of bringing builders together, strengthening South Florida’s construction industry, creating opportunities, and building a community that has grown from one generation to the next.

A lot has changed since the ’80s (thankfully, maybe some of the outfits 😂), but the heart of the LBA has stayed the same.

55 years later, we’re still building—together. 🙌 #BuildingTheFutureHonoringThePast by @lbaorg

The Women of the LBA did it again! ⚾✨ And what a night it was.

Yesterday, we took over loanDepot park for Women Changing the Game, bringing together an incredible group of women for a conversation that was honest, inspiring, and filled with plenty of laughs along the way.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Alejandra “Alex” Argudin, CEO of the Miami Parking Authority; Caroline O’Connor, President of Business Operations for the Miami Marlins; and Melissa Tapanes Llahues, President of the Builders Association of South Florida, in a panel moderated by our WLBA Chair, Maritza Haro Salgado.

They talked about the paths that got them where they are today—the wins, the challenges, the tough decisions, the ambition, and everything in between. Most importantly, they kept it real, sharing lessons they’ve learned along the way and advice for other women figuring out their own path.

Then it was time for baseball! ⚾ Members stayed to mingle, connect with our panelists, and watch the Marlins take on the Mets.

And somehow, we even made it onto the BIG SCREEN?! 👀😂 Swipe to see! ➡️

Thank you to our panelists, our moderator, the Miami Marlins, and everyone who spent the evening with us. Nights like this are exactly why the Women of the LBA exists: to connect, support, and learn from one another—and have a little fun while we’re at it. 💫
