Eleven years of BODYROCK. Eleven years of movement, music, packed rooms, sweaty hugs, new friendships, familiar faces and so many moments that have become part of this little passion project of mine. Every year has its own energy and its own memories, and somehow I still get just as excited thinking about what we’re about to create together next. This Sunday, we get to do it all again, move with incredible instructors, discover studios from across Pittsburgh, dance with Darcie, shop The Wellness Edit, experience everything our partners have dreamed up and spend a morning simply being together. I’ve watched BODYROCK grow and change over the years, but the heart of it has always stayed the same: bringing people together through movement, energy and connection. I’m so grateful for every person who has been part of these last 11 years, and I cannot wait to see the moments we create this year.

11 years of BODYROCK. Which, when I really think about it, is kind of insane. What started as an idea and a love of fitness has become one of the longest-running passion projects of my life. From Stage AE, to taking BODYROCK virtual during COVID, to pop-ups throughout the city, and now to ETAGE. This event has changed, grown and evolved right alongside me.
But the reason I keep coming back to it has never changed.

I love bringing people together. I love movement, music and the energy that happens when a room is completely locked into the same moment. I love introducing people to instructors and studios they may have never experienced before, and I love the personal connections that happen simply because we all decided to show up and share the experience.

There are so many people who have supported me these 11 years. The instructors, studios and partners who have believed in what I’m building. My friends and family who give me the space to obsess over every little detail, support every creative idea and somehow never question the journey. Then show up to carry boxes, move tables, set up spaces, solve problems and do whatever needs to be done to bring it all to life. And Pittsburgh, for continuing to show up, year after year, and giving this little idea of mine a place to grow. I hope you all know how much of BODYROCK belongs to you, too. This one will always be close to my heart, and I cannot wait to share it with Pittsburgh all over again.

South Hills loading….. Over the past few months, this space has gone from water damage and demolition to full reconstruction, electrical upgrades, long days of rebuilding, and now finally, the finishing details beginning to come together.
It’s honestly been emotional watching the studio come back to life. There’s still work happening behind the scenes, but seeing everything begin to take shape again has made this all feel very real.

More than anything, we are excited to welcome this community back to the experience of infrared sauna and the routines that so many of you have missed. We’re not quite ready to announce an official reopening date yet… but we’re getting SO CLOSE! A few more finishing touches, sauna installs, and final details, and we’ll be ready.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for continuing to check in on us throughout this entire process. It has meant more than you know.

Official REOPENING date will be announced within the next two weeks.

Lately, I’ve felt a little thrown off track. My routine shifted, things I was building were uprooted, and I’ve had to find my way back into a version of life that feels unfamiliar, holding space for a lot of unknowns along the way.

In the midst of all of that, I find myself coming back to the same place… the sauna. At times, it’s felt forceful, like something I didn’t want to do, or couldn’t quite make space for. Why, I’m not sure. But every time I do, it reminds me why this dream started… and where it can still go.

For clarity. For a shift in energy. To release and reset. To support my body (and yours) And to return to myself.

It’s the way it all comes together to ground, reset, and restore. When I see everyone’s faces at the studio, when I hear the supportive words and love coming from our community, it is the biggest and most gentle reminder of what AURA is and where we will go 🙏🏼💫 by @lbe_412
