One of those weeks when your heart aches because it’s over but your eyes shine a little clearer and smile beams a little brighter because it happened. What an absolute dream with my favorite gals @bkaufb and @beardlikeonyourface

Mama, your 65th party and trip were ones for the books… celebrating you is so easy and what a TIME it was. Sis, your winery galavanting plans + din reservations couldn’t have fit together more perfectly. See above re: moving during a pandemic☝🏼Spending my first week in a new Chicago home has me reflecting on 9 years in ATL, an incredible city that gave me grace & helped shape me into a real adult 😜 and a better sister, colleague, mentor, and friend ❤️ The many things I will miss & love most...
: 70 degree days in February ☀️
: Hopcity beer, 5p dance floor, Barcelona tapas, Antico pizza, & Superica guac 💃🏼🍕🥑
: The markets & music festivals every summer weekend in a different neighborhood 🏘🎺🌇
: Alta Tennis Sundayz with the Peaches 🍑
: Q time with my small group girls 🙏🏻
: Potlucks, ATL restaurant exploration, & big game days with my UGA ride or die gals 👯‍♀️
: Holiday mentee game night & Christmas charades forced on friends each December 🎄
: Long walks with Forrest Five tribe... + hilarity that ensued while living in that house 🏡
: The brookwood place fountain lulling me to sleep on spring & fall nights ⛲️
: Homemade cocktails and coffee drinks by the barista & bartender extraordinaire @crbeard 🍹☕️
: Exhale and Barre3 💪🏼
: Terminal West, the Tabby, & The Fox 🎵🎭
: ATL Botanical Gardens & Green Market Saturday mornings @piedmont 🥬🍎
: Driving a car on the connector (not. ever) 🚗

: The amount of times sis squeals & says “wow” while watching West Wing 📺
: Being with my very best friends as they got married 👰🏻 or became mamas 👶🏼
: Beard Roasts... the lack of seating but overflowing of poured wine and warmed hearts 💕 🍷
Despite all of the above - living in Chicago has always been a distant dream that I pictured living out but was waiting for the ‘right time.’ Thanks to God and a few encouraging confidants... I came to the conclusion that life is too short to wonder what could have been. This quote from Francis Bacon just about sums it up: “Begin doing what you want to now. We are not living in eternity. When I decided to pack up my life and move cross-country, I didn’t fully understand how much I would miss. this. sis ☝🏼❤️ Talk about one gem of a human being and angel sent from above... who said yes every time I needed help (taping. every. box. cleaning out sinks, washing the washing machine itself (whyy was that on my list) forwarding mail, so many goodwill trips, the list goes on.) Who both figuratively and literally saved my life before the chapter on our four years in 221 brookwood place together finally came to a close. Four years- bringing us closer than I thought possible... but still a lifetime ahead of more sailboat rides, john Mayer concerts, memorable toasts, genuine laughing pics, Chateau Elan fireplace photo shoots 🔥, rose sipping by the river, long surprise hugs, stopping to smell the roses, and soft smiles. I know it has been approx 1 day but missing you like woah and love you to the 🌙🔙🌎❤️ @beardlikeonyourface by @lbeard88
