On the morning of November 3, 2025 at 7:40am NPT, we made it to the summit of Lobuche Peak East!!! My first 6000m peak, 20,075 feet above sea level and the highest high I’ve ever felt.

This time being a second attempt due to sickness, weather, the unexpected, made it that much sweeter to stand on the summit of Lobuche. This is what I came here for and we had finally made it. I’ll never forget the feeling I felt as I dug my boots into the deep snow on the last few steps to the top. To stand amongst these giants, and now on top of one of them. I’m forever grateful to Pega, to these mountains, for allowing us to make it up there and back down that day.

09.27.2025 Eight years ago I brought home my smiley best friend and number one adventure buddy. So in honor of eight years of Bennie, this is our most recent 14er together - Mount Columbia. I was really struggling this day for some unknown reason and didn’t get started until close to 11am. Bennie was a champ as always and kept turning back to check on me after he would run up the mountain a bit. I felt super weak and probably would’ve turned around if not for him. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again - I don’t know what I did right in this life to deserve this guy🍯 taken in Mount Columbia by @lbsnipes

My boy turned 9 today. 9 years full of adventure, but also 9 years full of looking forward to coming home every day and the simple moments, wherever home may be at the time. Home is literally wherever I’m with you. Every day goes by and I swear I could never love anyone or anything more than I love you, but somehow I keep loving you more. Whether we’re climbing up to 14k feet together, watching movies on the couch, or simply going for one of our many daily walks, I always find purpose in my best friendship with you. The happiest of birthdays and to continuing many more years of constant love, crazy adventures, snuggles, health, dancing and singing to you, kisses, elaborate birthday cakes, Bennie rolls in the grass, wagging tails, BIG smiles, sharing ice cream and fries, crying because of how much I love you…my Bennie boy💙 taken in Golden, Colorado by @lbsnipes

07.26.2026 | finally experienced the mountain that many, many people call their favorite of the 58 CO 14ers. Longs Peak has everything - stunning faces, dramatic and inspiring features like the Keyhole, interesting moves that exercise your brain but incredibly solid rock. Oh and far too many people who have never climbed a 14er, hiked much at all, or sea level dwellers, but that’s to be expected here. I really can’t blame them for wanting to explore this mountain, Longs is just such a beautiful beast of a rock. May have even moved into, at least, my top two favorite 14ers so far. Love ya Longs🤌
