With great sadness, we announce the passing of one of the founders and godfathers of the LCNL Table Tennis Club.

Jayantibhai Kotecha will always be remembered as one of the true pillars of the LCNL Table Tennis Club— as a founding member, a gentleman, and a passionate ambassador of the game.

His love for table tennis never faded. Even as his health declined, he continued to attend practice sessions and tournaments for as long as he could, simply because the Club meant so much to him. Beyond his presence, his generosity left a lasting impact—sponsoring the Club, supporting its members, and even enabling selected players to compete on the international stage.

What stood out most was his humility. Despite being awarded honorary membership, Jayantibhai insisted on paying his own dues and tournament fees, quietly reinforcing the values he lived by. His advice and guidance were always available, and his involvement with the Club and its Committee was both genuine and deeply appreciated.

He brought warmth wherever he went. Members would gather around him to chat, laugh, and reconnect —and of course, to stay alert for that famously deceptive backspin serve. Watching him play was always a joy.

Jayantibhai was loved, respected, and admired by all who knew him. His legacy will continue to inspire the spirit of the Club for years to come.

He will be greatly missed.

With heartfelt gratitude for all he gave to LCNL Table Tennis Club.

Rest in peace, Jayantibhai. 🙏🏼 taken in Raghuvanshi Charitable Trust by @lcnl.tabletennis
