‘s guide to autumn 🍂

‘s 25th birthday 🎂⭐️
i normally post on the actual day (august 1) along with my july wrapup but time just got away from me this year… guess it’s the brain development lol. the day was filled with so much love, treats, and good vibes! entering this new age feeling very grateful 🫶🏼

i love my little peter parker/spider-man doll. i’ve been on the hunt for it for YEARS and am so glad disney brought it back to the states. i managed to ride all (but one) of my favorite rides at disneyland even with taking it easy due to the heat. i’m normally a birthday weekend kind of person, but i spent the entire week celebrating myself and it was so nice ✨ by @lcstinthelibrary

i watched heartstopper forever last night and while it was amazing per usual it felt too short of a goodbye to this series 🥹💐

i found the book days before its release + was pleasantly surprised by all the freebies it came with 💞 i ended up finishing this book last sunday and cried in public.

‘s mid-year check in 🏨💐
this is my favorite tradition that i’ve been doing for the past two years. doing this is a great way to reflect on all the books i enjoyed for that year.

although i’ve taken on a different approach to my reading that leans away from constant analysis of numbers/timelines, i still really enjoyed doing this tag. there were a couple questions that asked about numbers and i didn’t know what to do for the visuals so here they are:
* how many books have you read? 43
* how many five-star reads? 13 ✨

this is the first time i’m using the multiple captions feature to give more details that i couldn’t fit on their respective slides… i hope it works because i don’t think i’ve seen anyone use it yet 🤞🏼🤞🏼

💌: what is your favorite read(s) of the year so far?

it’s fun comparing my favorites from the first half of the year and from the second half of the year and see where they all rank for my top books of the year in december.

i’m on the waitlist for this book at my library 🙂‍↕️ i’ve been extra excited for this one after hearing shawnaci (@shawnacischroeder) give her praises for it… she’s never steered me wrong with her book recs.

i’ve been on the edge of my seat waiting for all of these since late last year if i remember correctly. i’ve become such a fan of b.k. borison this year. i loved joss richard’s debut novel and i also got the arc for this new novel. lynn painter publishing a YA romance novel set in autumn in nyc??? yeah i’m so there. katie naymon, i’ve been waiting for this one since the deal was announced 🫶🏼

i found this book in the new releases section at b&n at the end of last year. i read the inside cover and thought it sounded interesting. fast forward several months… i loaned a copy of it from my library. then i started it on a whim one day and finished it in 24 hours 🫢 it reminded me of eternity (dir. David Freyne, 2025) and i still think about it to this day.

Jackson Clark has single-handedly raised my standards and George tugs at my heart strings to remind me of said standards.

i remember tearing up at the ending of this book in public. i love binge reading a book i’m loving in a coffee shop for hours.

happy sunday 🌼
this past week has been a rollercoaster of vibes lol. i reorganized my vinyls and played a few which i don’t do as often as i should. i had to share how cute this version of YSPSFAGSIL vinyl is. i went to urban outfitters and saw these two vinyls and i want them so bad for the fall season. i read the daisy chain flower shop by laurie gilmore and loved it. it was filled with longing and growth from both mc’s. speaking of longing, the bear season 5 dropped! i binged it all the night it released… no regrets. i was rewatching it the two days before and it was the perfect goodbye to everyone. it wrapped up everyone’s stories well while leaving us with the idea that everyone’s gonna continue to be okay. “all good” broke me. i went to a kid cudi concert friday night and it was one of the best concerts i’ve ever been to. he brought out the cast of obsession for pursuit to happiness which was really cool. i need to watch the movie already 🫣
