Campers cozy up with a favorite autumn-themed book, then grab their tools and bring the story to life through hands-on building, creative engineering challenges, and plenty of fun! 📚

We love providing our students with fun opportunities to learn, create, and explore beyond the school day! Keep an eye out for more exciting learning opportunities throughout the year.

With stations featuring all kinds of genres, students could explore different stories, discover what they enjoy, and hopefully find their next great read. Such a creative and fun way to get our students excited about reading! 📖 by @lcsvikings

🎬 Meet Jordan Burks! Mr. Burks is our Upper School Audio/Visual and Songwriting Teacher and has been part of the Lakeland Christian School family for 11 years.

One of the things that originally drew Mr. Burks to LCS was the opportunity to be part of a Christ-centered community that values creativity, encourages new ideas, and gives students the freedom to explore their gifts in unique ways. During his time at LCS, Mr. Burks has helped develop opportunities such as our Songwriting and Music Production classes, where students can grow creatively while building real-world skills.

Outside of LCS, Mr. Burks serves as a pastor at United Community Church and is an owner of Grammy Award-winning Sound House Studios in Lakeland, where he works with artists, songwriters, and musicians from around the country.

Most of all, Mr. Burks enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Caitlin, have two children, Tyler and Karley, who also attend LCS. Having his children be part of the same Christ-centered school community where he has served for more than a decade makes Mr. Burks’ connection to Lakeland Christian especially meaningful.

We’re grateful to have Mr. Burks as part of the LCS family! by @lcsvikings
