Yellow is a fictional short film which employs the ‘Papageno Effect’. Depicting a vulnerable young man overcoming a crisis in his life. This project has been verified and is supported by suicide prevention charity @calmzone

Our mission is clear and backed by research: to create a film which inspires vulnerable people to seek help, encourage anyone suffering with their mental health to talk about their feelings and to demonstrate life can and will get better no matter how dark our lives feel at times.

We also want to spark a conversation with industry leaders about suicide story lines and content in films and media. There are guidelines in place for a reason! Show runners, writers, studios and production companies have a responsibility to produce sensible and considered content. From here on out, we can all do better!

Thank you so much to the team, who executed the vision for this in under a week. I cannot wait to create more with you all.

I had the pleasure of producing and hosting the kick-off for #HeadOnCampaign for @rethinkmentalillness a topic which is close to my heart. Taking the fight, straight to Parliament.

Head On brings together more than 20 organisations, including: @mhealthuk @calmzone @youngmindsuk to make mental health in our NHS a priority.

While mental health continues to shape people’s lives, families and experience of the NHS, campaigners say the political response has failed to match either the strength of public concern or the scale of unmet need.

Public figures including rapper Shocka, poet and
Britain’s Got Talent star Sonny Green, and mental health activist Ben West joined charities and people with lived experience outside parliament to send a simple message: mental health must be central to the country’s health, social and economic renewal.
