GLASTO 2025 LORD OF THE RINGS 💍

The love story begins like any other classic story really, a son tells his mother he’s going out for a couple of pints with his mates and he will be back tonight. Instead he ends up going from watching his mates win a charity football game in boro to a first date with @amylouisefinlayson in Ibiza.

It’s lockdown, we are in a bit of a whirlwind romance and ive dropped my phone in the sea from a flamingo shaped pedalo while on facetime to my mam who thought I was in Longlands and using a greenscreen to fool her with my backdrop.

Amy very kindly says I can stay at hers until I fix my phone at EE. Due to lockdown putting tunes on in the room is all we had really, we would take turns putting one on at the same time we both said I know which one next, I let her type it in on youtube and I couldn’t believe she was going to play Tony Di Bart - The Real Thing.

Fastforward to Glastonbury last year and my good pal @jordlees plays it on the speaker, we discuss how good it is but never seen it played live. Amy is a little unwell the next day so we are recuperating at the tent when I get a facetime from Jord to say @saoirse_music had dropped it.

Heartbroken we vowed to go out as much as we could until we saw it played. It didn’t take long as Saoirse dropped it at Barberella’s @loveintfestival (video to come) and I thought to myself if I had a ring then I would of proposed.

2 days later on Saoirse’s @bodymovementfestival party while she celebrates her own 1 year anniversary, a passing conversation at the toilets was all it took and the dream was on.

1 meet up in circo loco thailand, a wedding ring from my grandad, a treble winning bet at cheltenham & a secret meeting with @johnnyhoxtonldn for the rings later the stage was set.

Thankyou to all my mates that came, helped, filmed, cried, thankyou to the crowd, thankyou to @Saoirse_music @djmoxie @itspeach_ for making it all possible. Thankyou to the videographer, stage manager, @sarah__donny, @hat.n.spicy @illustrated_nails and @drbananana for delivering the message I was ready to go. It was the best moment of my life thankyou to everyone involved in any slight way so much ❤️ taken in Glastonbury Festival by @lduffwa

3 peaks, 1 arm? No problem. 40k for Fathers Day.

I won’t go into detail here but an incredibly hard fought 6 year journey after my dad passed has finally resulted in me receiving my dad’s ashes.

I have done this walk 3 times with my old man and to be able to do it again the day before Fathers Day and allow a small part of him to rest easily up there forever has brought some peace to my heart.

Thanks to my amazing Fiance @amylouisefinlayson for all her help every day and even more since I broke my arm. I know so “inconsiderate” so clsoe to our wedding but it’s only made me love and appreciate you more!

She won’t see this but thanks to my Mam for getting the ashes back and delivering them to Manchester when she didn’t feel well, as Gabrielle sang that night “Dreams do come true”

Thanks to all my family and friends for all the nice messages today and over the years.

Be considerate today isn’t a great day for everyone, if your dads alive tell them you love them, if you don’t speak to them I emplore you if possible to find a way if you can.

If you’re hurting today my DM’s are always open and stay strong.

Incredibly late but incredibly blessed to of been on this holiday. My life has been on a slow but steady positive trajectory since. We just getting started. Edinburgh Marathon 25/05/2025 🏃‍♂️

When I turned 30 Years Old I wrote a to do list of things to do in my thirtys, so it gives me a decade.

There are currently 11 things on it but I can add more whenever. To run a marathon was one of them ✅ its now my third tick on the list and definitely one of the harder ones.

Ive learned a lot of lessons in my first marathon, it was far from perfect haha, no music for over an hour, groin and calf pain before starting, even organising the cheer squad led by @amylouisefinlayson who has been amazing throughout my training and motivated me when I didn’t want to run. Turned into a good runner herself and im sure we will do one together one day.

It was a special day for so many reasons including it was the first time my Mam & my Sister @miaxlacey (who brought an amazing Batman sign, pics to follow) met Amys Mam & Dad for the first time, the thought of seeing them at the finish line is what dragged me through that final 10km.

I could write forever about that day but I just want to say anything really is possible by anyone with a bit of dedication and effort, there was a time not too long ago i couldn’t run 5km. My time wasn’t fast but I just wanted to finish my first, my training was far from perfect but so is life.

That was for My Dad, that for Amy, my family and friends but most importantly for myself. Ive been on a hell of a journey since losing my Dad but im proud of the person I am right now.

PS Thanks to everyone who donated to @rainbow_warrior21 and for all your kind messages they meant the world. Just had a sports massage and im parked up on the sofa excited about not running for a little while but more excited for my next.
