Highlights from day 4-6 in Bali: we left Ubud and headed to Uluwatu, where we checked into The Korowai hotel, built into the cliffs and requiring us to take approximately 250 steps every time we came and went. Thank goodness for the hotel staff who carried 30+ pieces of luggage for us. The hotel was a unique experience offering amazing views and an unexpected monkey interaction. We were greeted by monkeys who would visit our balcony every morning. We visited the Uluwatu Temple, home to more than 500 monkeys, who if you’re not careful will take your glasses and cell phones. An unlucky tourist experienced exactly that but luckily one of the guides was able to scare the monkey away and go on the cliff to retrieve her phone and glasses. We then caught a traditional Kecak dance, where there were no instruments all the sound was provided by 50 bare chested men. The second day at The Korowai was spent exploring the beach and relaxing. Ending the day with a beach front grilled seafood dinner. On my last day we left Uluwatu and headed to Seminyak, a beautiful beach town, where I got to relax at Hotel Indigo before heading to the airport to catch a 11:45pm flight home. by @le_bates

Highlights of Day 2 in Bali… spent the day in our Vietnamese Ao Ba Ba ( which we lovingly refer to as Vietnamese PJs), a purification bath, a little shopping, receding a prayer, a bike ride that ended with a meal at the owners property, and pictures in the rice paddy fields. by @le_bates

High lights of Day 1 in Bali - all about the Bali swing, learning about Kopi Luwak (aka poop coffee or as our guide calls it capPOOcino), getting a lesson on how to make offerings in preparation of our temple visit, enjoying some local fruits in our guide’s home, and learning about her family temple. by @le_bates
