Dear Florida Atlantic University,

I felt like walking that stage wasn’t enough and I should’ve been handed the mic, so here’s what I would’ve said 😁

Thank you. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift of all, another family. When I got to Florida, I felt small and alone, but through finding both my footing and a support system, I was able to truly blossom on this campus. Thank you for giving me so much to miss these past 4 years, from my professors, supervisors, residents, friends turned family, dining hall staff, the list goes on.

It became so much bigger than the degree. It became the talks at the desk, crams before exams, the movie nights that turned into hanging all night, the weeks where it felt like we were all going through it at the exact same time, running buddies, the people I met who thought so similarly to me and also so differently. The lessons you have instilled in me will remain with me through it all.

It’s with thanks to you all that I am now the woman who stands before you. Here’s to us❤️🥂

Signing out,🥹
