Been doing the exact same workout routine for months? Here is how to know when it is actually time for a change.

Noelle McKenzie, co-founder of Leading Edge Personal Trainers, explains mesocycles: sticking with the same movements long enough to actually get good at them under load, then knowing the signs it is time to switch things up. Joint discomfort, maxing out your load, or just feeling ready for something new after 6 to 8 weeks are all signals. 🔄

This mobility challenge from @wondwellness humbled me 😂 but this is where strength and mobility really come together!

If you’re under 40 no excuses.

If you’re in your 40s and can do this you’re making us all proud.

If you’re over 50 and can do this I want to be like you when I grow up 💪🏼

Drop your age in the comments and tell me if you can do it. 👇🏼 by @leadingedgeny

Please stop cheating your lifts.

If your back is tight after deadlifts or your knees are cranky after squats it’s not always the exercise. It’s that your body wasn’t ready for it.

Most strength programs teach you how to lift. They don’t teach you how to prep for it. We teach both inside our program.

Mobility before strength. That’s the part that gets skipped and it’s the part that keeps you in pain.

10 minutes of chest, back and hip openers before you load the barbell changes everything.

If your form is still breaking down after you warm up comment ‘body check’ and I’ll send you my free guide to help you find and fix your weak links.

Also what do you guys want to hear next? by @leadingedgeny

If you’re a woman over 35 this isn’t news to you. You’ve heard it a million times- Pick up the weights.

But when I found this study it stopped me in my tracks. One year. Twice a week. 15 to 20 years more youthful.

This is why I do what I do. And this is why I’ll never stop telling the women I work with to lift heavy (of course only when the foundation is built first 💪🏼)

Save this and share it with someone who needs to hear it. And I hope this is enough for you to start thinking differently about lifting real load.

And if you’re confused on where to start comment START and I’ll send you 4 exercises you can start doing at home right now without any equipment to start building strength. by @leadingedgeny

This is what family operated actually means. It’s not just a tagline… it’s how we operate every single day. We take pride in the quality of service we provide and we have so many of you to thank for trusting us with your health and your goals. We don’t take that lightly! by @leadingedgeny

After 40, strength training stops being just about how you look and starts being about how you live. It’s what lets you carry the groceries, get up off the floor, and play with your kids without thinking twice.

It’s no longer optional. It’s one of the smartest investments you can make in your future self.

It’s never too late to start.

You know the saying you can’t fix what you don’t know is broken?

Well most people are walking around with weak links in their body they have no idea exist.

Until the pain shows up.

What most people don’t realize is your posture is the first sign something is off.

How you stand reflects how you move.

How you move reflects where you’re weak.

And where you’re weak is where the pain eventually shows up.

The good news?

Weakness can be found. And weakness can be fixed.

But first you have to know where it is.

These tests will show you exactly that.

Pay attention to where you struggle.

Where you compensate.

Where you lose control.

Because that’s your body telling you exactly where the weak link is.

And if you want to keep showing up to meet life where it’s at carrying your kids, hiking with your family, getting up off the floor without help

You have to address these weak links now.

Not when the pain forces you to.

Comment PLAYBOOK if you want to take this even further.

My longevity playbook gives you a complete picture of where you stand and where to go from here.

And exactly what to do next. 💪 by @leadingedgeny

Yesterday we had our annual team brunch and although we’re missing a few faces here I’m so impressed by what we’ve grown into! This is our 7th year since we expanded our operation from a 2 person team (Kern and I) to the 19 that we are today!

The number of lives we’ve been able to positively impact because of the incredible people in this room is what I’m most proud of. It’s so special to have a team that feels more like family.

And there’s so much more in store for us. Here’s to continuing to build together. 🥂✨ by @leadingedgeny
