I’m on my own leadership journey. I haven’t figured it all out yet.
But I know that with growth, I’m on the right track.

I’m positioning myself where I see growth happening.
Not just externally, but internally.

Building habits.
Building clarity.
Building character.

If the doors I hope for don’t open, I won’t panic.
I’ll grow.
I’ll develop capacity.
And I’ll invite others to grow with me.

Because this isn’t a solo journey.
We are learning together.
Growing together.
Becoming together.

As I co-create with God, I’m guided by Matthew 5:16 — to let my light shine in a way that reflects Him, not me.

This journey isn’t about performance.
It’s about becoming the kind of leader whose light helps others see clearly.

What I build, I want to build with integrity.
What I create, I want it to impact and inspire.
Who I am becoming matters more than how visible I am.

I’m Tayo.
Certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach, Speaker, and Trainer.
Founder of Lead Light Leaders.

My mission?

To grow into the leader I’m called to be
and invite women on the same journey of growth and leadership.

Let your light shine. ✨

Goal-setting season is almost here, but before you buy that vision board off Amazon, ask yourself one question: Am I in the right environment?

Your goals tell you where you want to go. Your environment decides whether you get there. That’s who you talk to, who you listen to, what you watch, and where you show up.

Change the environment, and you won’t have to rewrite the same goal next year. 💡

If you’re looking at your age and measuring yourself against everyone else’s timeline, this one’s for you. 🤍

At 24, I was so hard on myself. I thought I was behind on everything: my education, my career, my dreams.

I wasn’t. I was being built.

Every failure, every networking event that “went nowhere,” every goal I moved because of motherhood, none of it was wasted.

Save this for the days you feel late, and share it with the woman who needs to hear it.

Which lesson did you need today? Tell me below 👇

Hiding your light never makes the room better.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to dim. We softened our voice in the meeting. We kept the dream quiet. We made ourselves smaller so others would feel comfortable.

And it worked. Nobody complained.

But the room got darker. And slowly, we forgot the lamp was even there.

Your light was never the problem. Where you put it was.

So here’s your reminder: take the cover off. Put the lamp back on the table. Shine in the room you’re in.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14

“Why won’t my coach just tell me what to do?” 🤔

I hear this more than you’d think, and I get it. So let’s talk about Italy. 🇮🇹

A mentor tells you what worked for her.
A trainer teaches you how to plan the trip.
A consultant plans it, books it, and comes with you. (Hello, arm, leg and kidney 😅)

A coach asks the questions that help YOU decide where you’re going and how you’ll get there.

My goal as your coach is to build your self efficacy: the belief that you can figure it out and follow through. That belief grows when the answer comes from you.

And if I have expertise that could help? I’ll tell you I’m taking off my coaching hat first. You’ll always know which hat I’m wearing.

✨ I’m opening 5 FREE 30 minute coaching sessions for women ready to lead with clarity.

Comment or DM me “COACH” to claim your spot. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. 💛

I moved to Canada as an international student with a story I wasn’t proud of yet.

I paid my own way, worked the whole time I was in school, and finished with no debt. Then I found HR, fell into change management, and went back for my MBA.

None of it happened on the timeline I planned. But every setback taught me something I now use to help women going through their own big changes.

If you’re in a hard season right now, it’s not the end of your story.

That job you hated? It was training you
The difficult boss taught you how not to lead.
The chaos taught you how to stay calm under pressure.
The long hours taught you what you will never accept again.
Feeling overlooked taught you the value of your own voice.

Not every lesson comes wrapped in a good experience. Some of your greatest growth happened in the seasons you couldn’t wait to leave.

Every setback is a setup for a comeback.

What’s one thing a bad job taught you? Tell me in the comments 👇🏾

Here’s something your brain won’t tell you: it’s wired to notice what’s missing before it notices what’s there. Psychologists call it the negativity bias. It once kept our ancestors alive. Today, it mostly keeps us from seeing how far we’ve come.

Gratitude is how we gently override that wiring. It’s not about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about training our attention to also see what’s good, what’s grown, and what’s still standing.

So this Thanksgiving, here’s what I’m thankful for:

Growth that didn’t feel like growth. The hard seasons that stretched me, the “no” that redirected me, the failures that taught me more than any win.

Rest that I no longer have to earn. Self-care isn’t a reward for productivity. It’s the foundation that makes leading possible.

The women in this community. The ones who show up, speak up, and keep choosing to illuminate the path for others.

The version of me I’m still becoming. Gratitude for who I am doesn’t cancel ambition for who I’ll be. Both can live in the same heart.

A small invitation for today: before the meal, write down three things you’re grateful for that you would have overlooked a year ago. That’s how you measure growth, not by where you are, but by what you now have eyes to see. The best is yet to come 🤍

What’s one thing you’re thankful for this year? Share it below 👇

With gratitude,
Tayo

Buongiornooo…Evidence that I was very, very happy in Italy 📸🤍

My face says one thing, but the real me is a whole different story.

1. I pick sleep over food. Once I’m tired, I need sleep, not necessarily food.
2. I can’t make eye contact while talking. I know it’s needed but I just hate staring at people. I find it distracting.
3. I read people like a book. Lie to me? I know. I just play along. Btw my friends call me FBI… it’s a gift
4. I genuinely love people, but if you seem stressful to my personality, I run from you.
5. I super duper love kids. I actually wanted plentyyyy children (laughing in abroad motherhood)
6. I don’t do sneaky things or sneaky humans. Use your chest sis.
7. If you offend me, we will talk about it. We might not be friends anymore but I will always clear the air.
8. I forgive but I don’t forget. God is helping me through this, but I have a journal in my brain that will tell you where, how, when, everything.
9. I’m a loyal babe through and through. I can have a best friend for 30 years.
10. I actually enjoy spiritual books more than career books. Anything that light bulbs my spirit… love love it.

If you’re my friend and you’re reading this, you already knew number 3.

Everyone else, which one surprised you?
