St. Louis, contemporary African fashion takes center stage on November 8.

Join Zeeoma Foundation at @ritzcarltonstlouis for its inaugural Rooted & Rising Gala, themed “Turning Talent into Trade.”

The evening celebrates contemporary African style and culture through a runway presentation, Nigerian cuisine, and a live performance by @tenientertainer , while honoring @leadwithdharma as the 2026 Zeeoma Bridge Builder Honoree.

Come early to shop the youth marketplace, where emerging St. Louis entrepreneurs will put their business training into practice, curating and selling goods by African artisans. The celebration supports opportunities for young entrepreneurs in St. Louis and Africa to learn, trade, and earn together.

2026 was ushered in with a declaration that this year would be different and i was not wrong! it has been a year of the kind of incredible challenges, evolution, and growth i didn’t know i needed.

decades ago my mother brought me to the @mohistorymuseum for my first visit. with all the history and the grandiose architecture i was captivated and it became my favorite place in St. Louis. i couldn’t have imagined then that i would be invited by them to sit on stage in the auditorium with the love of my life discussing the way that art has bridged our worlds and influenced the way we serve. this is proof positive of the things we don’t even know to dream. join us as we discuss the intersection of art, love, partnership, and legacy. let’s show them what it looks like to have standing room only! by @leadwithdharma
