plants add lots of beauty and life to our home, but this little gal adds instant joy wherever she is!

Hiya fronds! Long time no see. Somehow it's been 2.5 years since my last post. There have been many life (and house) changes and yet, many things still remain the same. You may notice a new cutie little face here. Meet Ginja, our six month old rescue pup. We sadly lost our sweet Zeus last March. We miss him every day.

I've created a place for Ginja @itsjustginja to share all of her antics and adventures, along with a sprinkle of house, plant and life updates of course! I'd love to connect over there if you're still around. I'm not sure the future of how much I'll be sharing on this page but please know I'm so grateful to have connected with you all 💛🌿

we decided to not get a tree this year but our house still feels festive thanks to our fronds! 🌿 these are my favorite ways to incorporate them into our holiday decor. Do you incorporate your fronds? If so, I'd love to know how!

🎶 jungle bells, jungle bells 🎶 we're not doing lots of holiday decorating this year, but these little corners are packing some serious joy for me 🌟 incorporating our plants is one of my favorite ways to bring the holidays to life. I'll be sharing more on that next week.

happy friday fronds, hope you have a beautiful weekend 🧡

Clara the Monstera is officially taller than me 🥹

are you team wood stake or moss pole? I prefer a stake but to each their own! 🌱✨💚

Any staking or re-staking questions, ask below!

It's been just over a year since my mom passed and my heart still aches every day. But she's constantly finding ways to send signs and it helps to brighten my day and still feel the deep love and connection we share. She had the best taste in music and passed along her love to me. We recently came across two giant boxes of her old records and I'm so thankful to have these as yet another way to feel connected to her - not to mention, there are some classics in here!

Sending love and peace always, but especially during this holiday season. I know how tough it can be 🧡

"fall back" is upon us! 🗓️🍃 Here are a couple tips for adjusting your plants to less light + cooler weather:
1. Adjust your plant placement. Since the sun will be lower in the Fall and Winter, direct light will enter the room at a different angle. Pay attention to how your plant is now positioned to the light.
2. Adjust your watering. Plants will likely need to be watered less frequently as they will receive less light and lower temps, therefore absorbing water slower.
3. Bonus tip - move plants away from heater vents!

Greece photo dump! 🇬🇷 we had such an incredible trip and Greece stole my heart. Gorgeous sites, beautiful beaches, lots to explore and the most kind, welcoming people. And easy to eat plant based! Lots of local dishes are vegan as is.

Also, I think this trip made me a bit of a cat person - don't tell Zeus 🤫

Here it is, the primary bath now and before. And yes this snake babe got a shower after putting up with all the construction dust! 🌿💦

So much about the before didn't work for us. The door swung into the toilet (we had already taken it off in the before shots), the toilet blocked half of the shower and the vanity was huge and took up an entire wall even though it only had one sink. Addressing these issues were our top priority and I'm so happy with the layout now. It's a smaller bathroom but feels so much more spacious!

There's still more to do (like having a glass shower door installed and smaller things like a TP holder and art for the wall) but we are loving how fresh it feels! We'll throw on a shower curtain until our door is installed.

Thanks for all your kindness and comments on stories! For anyone who missed it, I created a highlight detailing the remodel.

Let me know if you have any questions!

loving these warm September evenings ✨ hit our linen closet for one last lightweight bedding refresh before heavier duvet season comes back. Are you looking forward to cooler weather or soaking up the summer vibes as long as possible?

What is over-watering? Simply put, it's watering when your soil/roots are not yet ready for their next watering. When you water without allowing the soil to properly dry, it can lead to root rot.

Checking the moisture level on your soil is an easy way to know if your plant is ready for more water. This can be performed by the "finger test" or chopsticks for larger plants or if you have one, a moisture meter. 🌿✨
