I love how the final piece turned out but I’m probably more excited about the mechanics.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look behind this garden wedding installation at the Ritz.

Shipping delays can’t stop us, check out my favorite custom project to date.

Sometimes the best designs come from finding another way forward.

I’m always trying to simplify mechanics for popular designs and there is honestly nothing more popular right now than lamp flowers. .

We’ve been adding these florals to pretty much every proposal these days so I’ve been playing with ways to make it more streamlined.

Voila!

A little test in the studio today.

I made twelve calla lily bridesmaids bouquets for this weekend and am trying to train the stems to stay long and straight.

They’re taped up til Saturday and then we’ll see.

The best ones are bold and unexpected, keeping you on your toes until the final detail is complete.

Creating this bar moment was one we fell in love with from the start!

A rare day in the studio to myself, a whole lot of beautiful flowers, and no recipe.

Just getting to play with gorgeous fall colors, make a little mess, and enjoy the process.

Loving these delicate arrangements and their transitional fall palette. Not pictured, my constant state of stress about glue bonds holding under water.

A little behind the scenes in the studio. 🍂 Working on lamp florals in a transitional fall palette for this weekend’s Ikebana.

Sometimes beautiful things start with a heaping amount of chicken wire, a ton of ladders, and a quick 20 minute reset.

Worth it in the end.

A planner friend of mine dropped in the studio last week while I was making a bouquet and said, “That looks like a Margaret bouquet.”

I think after doing this long enough, you kind of develop a style without really trying to — certain shapes, movement, flowers, little details you come back to again and again. I feel I can always identify other creatives work online.

Even the best-laid plans sometimes change once we’re on site.

For these four floral chandeliers at Il Mercato, we adjusted our mechanics to reduce the weight while carefully maintaining balance throughout each installation.
