Just over a week to go until our first farm WORKSHOP 🤗🌱

Will you be joining us…? We’ll be fermenting, tincturing, seeding, walking, talking and eating.
A day on the farm, learning new skills with some of the best, meeting new people and finding hope and courage for our future.

*Fergal @leafandroot took these videos yesterday evening, look at that solstice light. He couldn’t bring himself to do a selfie video - thinks the gram is full of them, and in fairness he’s right, and it’s hard to compete with Nancy!

We’re excited to launch The Living Table - a new series of seasonal on farm workshops exploring how we grow, preserve, and imagine food futures, together.

Each workshop takes place on Fergal and Manu’s farm in Loughrea, Co. Galway and brings together hands-on learning, shared meals, and meaningful conversations around land, microbes, seeds, and systems.

On the day you’ll walk the land, learn to make wild ferments, explore seed saving or tincture-making, and sit down to a seasonal lunch made with ingredients grown just metres away.

Here’s what to expect:
🌾 Guided farm walk
🫙 Wild fermentation session using foraged and farm-grown ingredients
🥗 Shared seasonal lunch
🌿 Mini workshops: Seed saving, herbal tinctures, or advanced ferments
🗺️ Collective food futures mapping session
🧺 Take-home ferments, recipes, and a mini resilience toolkit for yourself

This project is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine through the Agri-Food Tourism Grant - helping us make land-based learning more accessible and rooted in community.
