Cheers to younger me. When turning 30 felt like forever away. But here we are! So much has happened and it feels like it all happened in the blink of an eye.

I ordered a poem from Felix's Flame and it arrived today.

This specific poem really hit home and made me cry so much when I read it that I just had to get it.

The care and attention to detail is just beautiful. All proceeds go to making free comfort packages for those who have experienced pregnancy and baby loss. She also has a wonderful site where you can find information and guidance should you need it.

💔💔 2026 💔💔
The year we saw two lines
The year we dreamt of your future
The year I carried you
The year we said goodbye too soon

This week should have been one where we were ready to share exiting news.
But now it's one we'll never forget as the week where we lost our first baby.

Unfortunately, we found out yesterday that we lost our little one at around 7 weeks, despite having an early scan at 6weeks 4 days and seeing a strong heartbeat. And then having a private scan two days later purely so we could take home more pictures and a little video which we will forever cherish.

My body didn't want to give up and kept trying to protect a baby that no longer was.

We are taking time coming to terms with our loss and appreciate all the love and support we have already received from everyone. by @leah.greenhill
