Have you ever wanted #pearlonions but if they were red? Get #walkingonions , they're meant to be grown for the greens but they give some good base onion as well! There's a bunch of tiny onionlings we can plant for next year. We decided to ferment the onions, making good use of a book I found at an estate sale. The recipe called for onion and garlic, and we had a chunk of ginger withering away in the fridge that I decided to toss in as well. I am very excited to see how it turns out! There's only one jar, I just wanted to give two views of the contents. #pickledonions #fermentedfood #homegrown by @leah_leone

We harvested ~13lb grapes (destemmed) and heated them to try to pasteurize the juice. We got just over a gallon of juice and I'm not sure how well the pasteurization worked because the jug would pop with pressure when we opened it. We got quite a few jars of grape jelly, hopefully the small ones make nice presents.

I got the bargain of the century at a garage sale today! A bag of nail polish for $3 that when tallied up came out to almost $300 original retail price! And of course some are limited edition so it's even more special. I saw a couple multichrome polished and grabbed that bag right up, and there were also some holographic, thermals, and magnetic polishes in there as well.

New glasses, who dis? I decided to get some nice big lenses so I can see EVERYTHING! Also my new ones come with fancy magnetic click-on shades unlike my old ones which were random clip-ons I found that worked "close enough" with my glasses. I'm pretty excited!

Apparently it's #blackcatappreciationday so here's a recent selection of my #blackcat to see. Since I've been home during the day she's been whining at me to feed her earlier and earlier, and I got a good picture mid-meow. #whispercat #domesticpanther #blackcatsaregoodluck by @leah_leone

Phenomenal #haul from @craftandmorethriftstore yesterday. All this for $15. I don't know exactly what the blue and purple yarns are, but they definitely feel like wool. Now my dilemma is whether to dye the alpaca yarn because orange is not my color, or see if I can find something that my husband might like (it's 50g so nothing too big). #yarn #knitting #crafting #whatadeal by @leah_leone

Chana saag but instead of spinach or mustard greens, we used lambs quarter growing wild in our yard! It took forever to pick the leaves from the tough stems, but I do love foraging. #tastytreat #itsfreedinner #forageyouryard #wildfood #eatyourweeds by @leah_leone
