Life lately ✨

I had a fulfilling, challenging, rewarding, and all around incredible year this year. With all of my markets and travels, I wanted to make a little introduction post.

Hii, I’m Leah. I’m an artist and small business owner based out of the Jersey Shore. I primarily focus on stop-motion set designs and paintings, but enjoy a lot of other artistic elements like drawing, crocheting and sewing. When I’m not making art, I’m climbing, roller skating, reading, hanging out with my loved ones, watching old films, or more recently, snowboarding.

In May of 2025, I was accepted into an artist and writers residency based in France and will be leaving the beginning of April :) I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported my art business and has made it possible for a small business owner like myself, to go to this residency and expand my skills with new sources of inspiration. I am overwhelmed with gratitude.

I look forward to seeing what the year ahead brings. To take a gander at my website and see my portfolio and/or further support my travels, residency and artistic pursuit, visit the link in my bio. ✨

“Don’t Tell Me What To Wear”
Acrylic on Canvas
18” x 24”

This piece started on a sticky note back in September. I had let it sit there left to stare at me before I knew I needed to bring it to life at the residency in April. With a couple of different sketches, an entirely different canvas and underpainting, lots of discussions and brainstorming with @ladysharktattoos, it finally came together. ✨

Let Awkward Girl inspire you! Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t and cannot wear ✨

Awkward Girl and Jacks ! ✨

I really wanted to create a monochromatic piece or pieces of Awkward Girl and gravitated towards linocuts but digitally. I’ve made Awkward Girl stamps before and loved the entire process despite how challenging it was and felt like I could transfer that digitally.

Both are now available on my shop in 5”x7” sizes ✨

“Bed Head”
Acrylic on canvas paper, 11x14

This is one of the pieces I completed at the residency. “Bed Head” was a painting I had started a while back but needed to step away from for a little, as I had never painted Awkward Girl’s face so close it was a bit odd for me. She’s just always thinking about being in bed, can you blame her?

Prints will be available in the next few days on the website ✨

Awkward Girl obviously made her way to France. A little painting I created that’ll be part of a new miniseries I will finish back home!

I am filled with so much love and appreciation for the fellow artists and members I got to spend the last two weeks with here. There are no words to describe my experience in Orquevaux.

I hope you enjoy this little video as much as I enjoyed making it 🫶🏼 had to add a little stop-motion in where I can ✨

I’m sorry, I can’t answer the phone right now. I’m in France at the moment! 📞🐌

Feeling extremely grateful and full of pure bliss. This place is truly a fairytale. These are my little corners of the world for a bit 😌

I can’t wait to show the pieces I have been working on so far!
