film from summer ‘25; the summer I quit my life and began traveling with no plan in mind

one year later and I find myself nostalgic for that feeling of wanderlust and an energy to explore. life always finds a way of working itself out, this past year was a testament to that.

As the saying goes, It’s the people that make a place. Looking back at these photos, I am instantly reminded of the ones I experienced it with. No matter how long or short of a time spent together, their stories and the ones we now share, carries on with me.

‘The Moroccan Dream’

I had the privilege to spend a few months in Morocco last year, as more than a tourist, getting to know the locals and learning about their beautiful culture. I shot this small project while visiting Essouira with little direction in mind. Just a curiosity for the camera and ways display complex emotions.

Morocco is a unique world of its own, with a strong juxtaposition between its Berber roots and western influence. The contrast drew my attention, and I found a deep appreciation for the efforts to preserve the nations origins.

Like many who have had the fortune to travel to Morocco, the country holds a special place in my heart and I constantly draw back to the magical feeling it embodies.

This is an overdue start to sharing my backlog of projects, while also keeping up with the new. by @leahhsfilms
