In circle I always say, “you can sit with us.”⁣⁣I teach that women thrive in spaces of connection.⁣⁣Turns out… that includes the ocean too. 🤙🏼⁣⁣A couple of years ago, I wanted to learn to surf but I was scared to do it alone. Scared of being judged because I was a beginner. Felt like I didn’t belong in the water with a board. That mean girl voice in my head was louuuuud.⁣ 🙉⁣So I partnered with @kokopellisurfcamp_myrtlebeach and we created a space where women try new things together, where women refine skills and where women reclaim joy. 💞⁣⁣No ego.⁣No judgment.⁣No mean girl energy.⁣⁣Just courage and community.⁣Just women cheering for women.⁣Where ALL women are welcome, regardless of age, experience or skill. ⁣You can sit with us.ANDYou can surf with us. 🤗⁣⁣Our women’s surf events kick back off in May and run through September! ⁣No board needed - Kokopelli provides all equipment. ⁣More info coming later this week. 🏄🏼‍♀️⁣⁣Drop 🌊 below to get first word. 👇🏼⁣#grandstrand #northmyrtlebeachsc #myrtlebeachsc #surfsisterhood #youcansurfwithus by @leahinlight

One leap of faith. One circle. 🌊 Happy World Blue Mind Day. 💙Water has changed my life in so many ways, so I cannot let today pass without making a post about this. The ocean and the river are the places I return to again and again when I need to reconnect with myself, cleanse, release or simply feel more deeply connected to God. The science around water is fascinating (want more info - message me!), but honestly…I don’t need a study to tell me what I feel every time I step into the water.World Blue Mind Day was inspired by the work of Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, author of Blue Mind (literally reading it for the 3rd time right now!), who helped bring awareness to the incredible ways water supports our minds, bodies + spirits. Today is a reminder to spend time by the water and protect the places that heal us.Water is life fam. 💧🫶🏼If you can today, spend a little time near a blue space. My girl is 16 today. 😭🥰💕🎂Time certainly flies, but we have made so many beautiful memories along the journey so far. I am so blessed to be her mama + am forever grateful she chose me.
