how lucky am i to have been a part of something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

16 years ago i stepped into a studio for the first time, having no idea where this journey would lead me. my competition dance career has been anything but easy, but i attribute all that i am to the challenges faced. to everyone who has impacted my dance career, no matter where or when, i thank you for pouring your time and effort into me and believing in me and my future.

my expressions family, although it seems like so long ago i thank you for welcoming me in with open arms in a time so trying for all of us. from students to staff, you all truly are family and i would not be who i am without your influence and impact on my life.

while this isn’t the end of my dance journey, i look back with a heart so full. competition dance taught me resilience when i wanted to give up, discipline when things got hard, and confidence i never knew i had. it gave me a second family, lifelong friendships, and memories that will stay with me forever. here’s to closing one chapter with endless gratitude and stepping into the next with everything dance has given me. 🤍 by @leahlanderr
