All good things must come to an end.

This ending feels different. Not because of one game, but because it’s really over forever. I’ve loved basketball since I started playing 12 years ago. It was my favorite sport up until 2 years ago, so it hurts that I can’t get that time back. But then I think about the memories. There were so many ups and downs, early mornings, running stairs, bad games, hard losses, Melvin’s passing, new teams, and finally choosing volleyball. But the good memories make it all worth it: crazy bus rides, hotel room hangouts, meeting my best friends, buzzer beaters, and paranoia nights. The tough moments shaped me, and the good ones I’ll carry forever. In the end, I’m so grateful I got to play basketball, and that I ended my career loving the game.
