When you spend your days managing socials, your own tend to get forgotten… so I’m making a conscious effort to show up a little more 😇

I’m the one behind the marketing, behind the camera and usually the one trying to get everyone in a group selfie. But I love being part of the bigger picture and helping bring our work to life!

I was 20 when we registered PRNG as a CIC, and I remember wondering whether I could really live up to the title of ‘Marketing Director’. Now, one of my favourite parts of my job is showing young people that you don’t need 7+ years of experience, endless qualifications or your whole life planned out to succeed. Sometimes, you just need to graft, take opportunities and keep learning as you go 🤍

So, here are a few things you might not expect about me 😅:

→ I spent my school and college years working towards a career in animal care before completely switching to digital marketing

→ I can barely cook (Gluten-free freezer food all the way)

→ I’m too scared to put windscreen wash in my car in case I put it in the wrong place... I’ve been driving for nearly five years.

→ Afrobeats and bashment will always be my favourite music 🫶

→ I went to Thailand on my own for a month when I was 18. Apparently, I’m braver with booking solo trips than I am with basic car maintenance!

→ I’ve lived with high-functioning anxiety for years, but it’s taught me a lot about doing things that scare me.

I definitely haven’t got everything figured out, and I’m still learning every day, but that’s the point!

Work that supports life, not replaces it.🗒️

The first week back can feel a little daunting, not knowing what the workload looks like, picking up everything you left before the holidays, and trying to find your rhythm again. It’s easy to feel like you need to jump straight back into everything at once.

But productivity doesn’t come from pushing harder… it grows when you create balance in your day. Giving yourself space to ease back in, prioritise what truly matters, and work in a way that feels aligned⚖️

These reminders aren’t just for January. They’re habits to implement all year round!

I LOVE MY JOB. I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting over the past few days, and one thing that always hits me is just how rewarding this job is. This month marks 1 year of @prnextgencic and 5 years working with the beautiful @keshiastewartog & I can honestly say this year, with all its highs and lows, has been nothing short of powerful and a huge eye opener.

It’s not just the marketing; it’s the change we’ve created for so many young people, and the relationships formed with all these amazing people. The beautiful part is that I also get to work with incredible people outside of my full-time role, working with them to create strong strategies and growth in their businesses.

I feel like I’m at a point where I’m genuinely proud of what I’ve achieved, so here’s me shouting about it!🤍 by @leahsdigitalessence

Some days the imposter syndrome creeps in more than I’d like to admit, being 21 and sitting in rooms full of experience can feel intimidating. But I’m learning that age doesn’t define capability.

Taking the lead and making big decisions still feels surreal at times, but it’s also the part that’s pushed me to grow the most.

I’ve learnt that leadership isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about having the confidence to figure them out.

The truth is, I’ve worked hard to earn my place, and every time I share an idea, make a decision, or take the lead, the quiet imposter voice gets a little smaller.

& I wouldn’t have it any other way 😇 @prnextgencic
