POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

⸻

In change, the new takes shape.

The advertising column is like a public canvas. About once a month, it is freshly covered with posters, always in rhythm with the spirit of the time, which aims to reach and connect people.

Layer by layer, its surface grows over the years, like sediment made of time and memory.

In this way, a thick skin of paper emerges that carries stories: of moments, social waves, and constant transformation, but also of the endurance of the place itself, standing against wind and weather.

This skin grows with its surroundings and with our needs.

One day, the Litfaßsäule may disappear or change its form. If so, what remains is a memory of a quiet companion of the city that once held time in place: an archive of layers that seem to whisper.

These traces carry change within them and invite us to meet it with curiosity – not only looking back, but also toward what may still come.

The ,Litfaßsäule’ (advertising column) functions as a public canvas, where layers of posters build up over time like sediment. Capturing fleeting moments, urban change, and collective memory.

Growth in Transformation

This work emerges from the layers of an advertising column – a carrier of voices, images, and fleeting messages. What was once visible in public space is reassembled here: as an open relief of fragments that can be ordered, shifted, and continually transformed.

Change does not appear as a line, but as a process. In overlapping papers, tears, and compressions, time becomes visible. Each layer carries traces of what has been and simultaneously points toward what may still emerge.

A beautiful and inspiring time at @corningmuseumstudio during the workshop with @eunsuhchoi and @ickeglass . Thank you both for your generous support and the time you shared with us.

My work “Dead End” is a glass and ash sculpture where the words ,Dead End’ construct the form of a fish trap.

The work explores how signs and words influence our choices and create invisible boundaries around us.
