Busy week for drum tracking. Here’s a Ringo inspired thing for a great song I wish I could share. 3 microphones and 1 tambourine overdub to glue it together. @paistecymbals @ludwigdrumshq @colesmicrophonesofficial doing a lot of the heavy lifting here| #sessiondrummer #remoterecording #paiste #vatersticks #ludwigdrums by @leakydrums

Great to be back in my favourite studio @starttogetherstudio with @rockyoreilly yesterday. So busy working on drums for two different artists this was the only photo I thought to take. Here’s a poor photo of some amazing outboard gear that we ran @paistecymbals a vintage Gretsch kit and various Ludwig and pearl snare drums through. #sessiondrummer #starttogetherstudio #paiste #vater by @leakydrums

Remote drum track from this morning with the bass I was sent. The drums and bass are both pretty loose but make sense together, and the artist kindly gave me approval to share the rhythmic foundation of their as yet unreleased track. Very few microphones used on this, and I was channeling ‘Exit Music (for a film)’ but a lot more subtle with the compression.

Replacing a Linn Drum machine on this Wilburys classic. Mr Jim Keltner overdubbed the toms and cymbals(and likely the cowbell) as I understand it. @paistecymbals Ludwig black beauty and 60s drums. | DM to discuss remote or in person drums on your song or project.

Amazing song my wife and I both agree we wish we’d made this our first dance when we got married. Original drum recording was by the great @jezzastace and produced by Mr G & Dave Sardy |
Tried to get close to the quick decaying crash sound on my right. Ludwig OBP 13/16/20 black beauty snare and @paistecymbals 602s all around |
Available for remote and in person drum recordings. DM to have a chat. #noelgallaghershighflyingbirds #jeremystacey #sessiondrummer #paiste #remoterecording by @leakydrums

Great to see @tvontheradio recently being exposed to a new generation of fans. Oxegen Festival 2009 @nodancingrecords and me tried our best to hide our glee at being sat a table over from them at artist catering. Here’s a version with myself replacing the drums and percussion. #tvontheradio #wolflikeme #returntocookiemountain #remoterecording #spidermanbrandnewday by @leakydrums

I’ve been using this @officialtamadrums @tamauk club jam pancake set for some recent live commitments and wanted to make a short demo video to demonstrate a big sound that can be achieved from such small drums. 12x4 snare, 10x3.5 Tom 13x3.5 floor Tom and an 18x4 bass drum complemented with @paistecymbals | easy to transport and relatively small stage footprint. Available for remote drum recordings for your song or project DM |
