These pictures have so much behind them that the eye may never see.
An 8 year old kid surfing, sharing my biggest passion with my son, has been one of the most pleasurable things I have ever experienced. I feel so blessed for it.
Here he is, surfing the third surfboard I built 20 years ago for his mum. The board had been abandoned in a corner back in the bay. He found it and asked me to take it surfing.
That board was never really close to being a good surfboard. My experience back then was still very poor. The board is even twisted, but when I shaped it, it was my best one. I put so much love into it.
I could never have imagined that, 20 years later, the board I shaped for his mum would be ridden by our son, catching so many good waves and making him so happy.
Life has its own way of writing stories.
And sometimes, it writes them far better than we ever could. ❤️
