POSTS STORIES REELS

The food I’d like to eat again: Chili Cheese Fries from Follow Your Heart Market & Café @fyhmarketcafe in Canoga Park (Los Angeles, California)!

10/10 🌟 fresh cut fries, house chili, & cheddar cheese sauce! Pro tip: we usually get the fries well done, ask for extra green onion, & pair it with their housemade fresno hot sauce!!

Follow Your Heart Market & Café has a wonderful jam packed cafe menu, brunch on the weekends, great takeout options that reheat well, a patio (!!) and an amazing fully vegan market inside. This place is iconic for many reasons! (We love it so much!!) Do yourself a favor & pop by ASAP to check out everything they have to offer. The mac and cheese with sautéed kale (add garlic bread) never disappoints!

The food I’d like to eat again: The Rajas & Cheese tamales from Huesos Xocolatl @huesosxocolatl 🔥🔥🔥 (picked up at @nibbletownmarket)

I could go for 10 of these right now 😭
Brenda’s handmade tamales are divine!! Soft, delicious, and bursting with flavor. Her salsas are the perfect compliment too (the red is my fave)! Stop by one of her many pop ups this summer to try her fabulous tamales while we all patiently await pozole season!!

The food I’d like to eat again: Biang Biang Noodles from Men & Beasts @menandbeasts_la in Echo Park (Los Angeles, California)!

I could eat these noodles every day for the rest of my life and be sooo satisfied. They have the perfect chewy texture and spice forward delicious flavor (thanks to the chili oil!) that make them a personal favorite. 10/10 🌟🔥

Suggested dish pairings: prosperity “pork” & chive dumplings, sweet & sour mushroom!!

The food I’d like to eat again: The Champ “Spicy” Slider from @champignoneats / @smorgasburgla!!

I finally had a pleasure of trying Champignon Eats in June! Crispy fried enoki mushrooms with the perfect bun!! Two spicy sliders are pictured here. I loved everything about my experience visiting Champignon Eats and left wanting more, excited to return! 10/10 🌟

Bakers Bench @bakers.bench is a MUST visit bakery in Los Angeles!
My all time favorites: the legendary Furikake croissant, chili corn danish, egg roll croissant, chocolate chip cookie, and anything Jen makes with the lemon verbena diplomat (currently: Berry Lemon Verbena danish). The cakes are phenomenal too. Many items are seasonal and very unique, which means you should go often and try them all!!!

This visit I pre-ordered & picked up a Too Good To Go box (pro tip: this is a nice way to save money, try new things, & help cut down on food waste!) My mystery box had two scones, a miso snap pea sesame danish, and a cinnamon roll. Every box is different & sometimes it feels like you won the lotto when you get the perfect mix of your favorite items!

The food I’d like to eat again: fried oyster mushroom (vegan fried chicken), vegan guava turnover, vegan pistachio croissant, & a giant delicious baguette from @donghungvienbakery in Orange County!

I made an amazing sandwich with the baguette, house made sauce, and vegan fried chicken when I got home from that longgggg drive. I’ve been craving this place since I tried it a few weeks ago & can’t wait to go back! It was very affordable and had a ton of clearly labeled vegan options. 10/10 🌟

I was talking to my husband about it last night and realized we’ve been to Men & Beasts more than any other restaurant this year. I feel like that definitely says ….something? We love it. From the teapots to the dim sum, wok dishes, and dessert, there’s so many flavorful and creative options to choose from.

What we ate this visit:

CHEDDAR RANGOONS
broccoli, truffle oil, tomato soup

SWEETCORN RIBS
szechuan pepper, dry chili, bbq spice

MONKEY BUNS
char siu, hoisin, sweet onion

SWEET & SOUR MUSHROOM
cashew, garlic, bell pepper

KING OYSTER BAO
jalapeno, shallot, chili mayo

Not pictured but also worth noting: we shared a pot of delicious Golden Peony Oolong tea during our meal and also left with a Biang Biang noodle to-go because we love them. 🥰🤤
