excuse me while i post too much with my newfound freedom —
the refrain "o" is starting to really find its footing in my work. it carries the lamentation in my voice nicely, and acts to hide me for a moment to recouperate when things get overwhelming. ive also decided YET AGAIN to change my manuscript name. 💀 by @leanlight999

i continue to remain stunned that we made THIS happen, as i am recognised in the mrt by ync faces i havent registered before, as the telegram chats continue to xiao bubble with activity, as i sit with the keen knowing that our grief has invited, enfolded, held space for more grief and anger and pleasure and processing and Connecting and sitting with it all. & being, & breathing, & feeling, & living through the closure of ync... the re-neo-colonisation of the land (of course without consultation of/with the land and its inhabitants. par for the golf course as fuck🙄)

i look forwards to our wrap party, my dear collaborators, and am especially excited to post the ningningnongnong silly geese content that fills my camera roll to bursting x

feeling strangely at ease in my own body, in a foreign and not that strange land, all on my own. finding people and things and light and dark and twists and turns and, no matter what, a path through this city.

have i been truly free before? i find myself here, free. i find myself when i am free. i have been buried under so many things. not erased from existence per se, but padded over with dirt and prayers. but i am free. and i am here. and i, in all my searching for the unknown, still find myself here, and still find myself safe. what a joy. what a blesssing. despite despite despite. being on my period, having a manic episode here, slowly returning to healtheir types of stimulation, talking talking talking. sometimes good, sometimes bad. sometimes walking, sometimes lying. often sitting. somewhere. with something. someone. some people.

me, an old-ish lady shaken into fight or flight by the earthquake, and another travellor from ukraine played catan here after the sun went down. one gentle, slow; the other fiery, sharp; and all of us tusseling over the used pieces, stumbling into some common english. haggling for wood and hay and sheep. there was a piece missing, but we played through anyways. with bastard rules so the shaken lady who had blue slippers and blue shirt pants combo and blue eyes and blue thing in her hair could go to sleep sooner. in the morning earlier, she had read her nonfiction piece about evacuating from her tall condo during the earthquake... her body shocking into near death, she had called a friend upon accepting death. and it was after she connected to him that she realised she should go. and carefully picked her way down so many staircases. she was on the 12? 13th? floor. she returns, and finds cracks on every floor. but not in the stairwell. there was debris and dust falling about her as she was dancing, frail and bewildered, as the swaying hit her building.

my nervous system is also fried. emotional freeze. fight or flight. ashamed at the fawn response. looking all these in the face. going in and out of a day with a river of thoughts that perhaps now wouldnt kill a horse. undammed. tired. oh, so many people. so much trauma. by @leanlight999
