What an incredible evening. We saw the sold out advanced screening of Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck which was a great movie. It’s an interesting “feel good” movie which is not something Flanagan has done before, as he leans more into the horror genre. Mike spoke before and after the screening, and I got to meet him and get him to autograph pics from two of my favourite series of his. Mike Flanagan is such a smart, creative, kind, and humble man. When the Life of Chuck hits theatres I recommend seeing it! by @leannamr

My highlight of Metrocon was meeting Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica, Midnight Mass, Fall of the House of Usher) 💛 He was so humble and kind, and he gave me a shirt❣️ #metrocon#metrocon2025#michaeltrucco by @leannamr

Oct 27, 2025 I got to meet two of my favourite actresses: Kate Seigel and Sam Sloyan. I’ve been wanting to meet them both because I’m in awe of their talents (and I have a big ol crush on Kate). They were both so kind and humble. Thanks to the Rio for hosting a Carrie movie night hosted by filmmaker Mike Flanagan (married to Kate). Mike just finished filming a Carrie series in Vancouver that will be released to Prime next fall. by @leannamr

It’s really upsetting that this isn’t widely known. I would have posted about this sooner had I been aware. Canada wants to erase history and claim its for the confidentiality of residential school survivors. So far only 100 out of 38 000 records have been returned to survivors. If a survivor does nothing, their records will be destroyed, erased, as if their trauma didn’t happen. This isn’t ancient history. The last residential school closed in 1997. Today on National Truth and Reconciliation this article was posted on CBC News and I feel like it needs more attention. There was a unanimous vote to destroy the records of residential school survivors for the purpose of confidentiality to the survivors. Records will be destroyed in 2027 unless survivors request their own records. This was supposed to be made clear to all survivors to give them the opportunity to salvage their records. This is erasure of Canadas dark history. According to the article some survivors agree the records should be destroyed because they were promised confidentiality. I strongly urge any survivors of residential schools to get those records before they are destroyed. Only the individuals themselves can request the records, not even family members can on their behalf. by @leannamr

Dad’s been gone 32 years today (he’s in the middle). I know I’ve probably posted this pic before but I love it. September is suicide prevention month and just know that taking your own life is never the answer. The effect of this final decision lives on forever for those around you. If anyone ever needs someone to talk to, I’m here. by @leannamr

THRICE did Ollie Houdini his way out of his room. I even set up my phone and recorded him while I went out for 20 minutes (of course he didn’t attempt to escape then). I finally found out today how he does it. I’m impressed (I think he is too). by @leannamr

We had a really great time at the @riotheatre last night. We saw Desert Films, a dystopian play written by James Franco and starring himself and Blaine Kern III.It was intense, dark, intimate and unpredictably funny. After the play and after Franco scrubbed off his eerie characters makeup he worked the merch table and was kind enough to take photos and autographs. After that James did an intro to a viewing of The Room. Special shoutout to the owner of the Rio @corinne_riotheatre for handling some of the chaos outside swiftly and with grace. Thanks for a great show @desertfilms_ @jamesfranco.news @blainekerniii (I took a photo with you and have no idea where it went 😩) #desertfilms#theriotheatre by @leannamr
