We’re having a girl 💗🥹💗
Photos were too cute not to share! We couldn’t wait until the 20 week NHS scan so had a private gender scan. To keep it a surprise they tell you when to close your eyes and note the gender in an envelope 💌 We took that straight to @sacred.bakery who made our gender reveal cake 🥹🎃🍰 by @leannelimwalker

I cry every time I watch this back, oh baby you will be so loved 🥹❤️

Surprised myself with such a big reaction, really wasn’t expecting it as I thought the opposite gender from our 13 week scan.

I envisioned a pumpkin cake for the reveal as I knew we’d be announcing in October and @sacred.bakery nailed it! Incredible cake and with a super quick turn around 🎃🍰 support your local independent baker 🥰

Some weeks make sense, then one of my apps said baby was the size of a cinnamon stick at 14 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️

4 weeks a poppy seed, 9 weeks a strawberry, 12 weeks a lime, 16 weeks an avocado

We did a thing…. 🥹 What are your guesses?

Starting to show 🥹 weird as I don’t necessarily feel pregnant so this was a lovely moment which seems to suddenly happen 🥰

I’ve seen lots of recommendations for zipped sleep suits 🙌🏼 these seemed a good deal with the discount

Curly/Wavy Hair Routine ➰🌊〰️

Finally edited my hair routine, I wasn’t sure if people would like a longer voiceover version at some point? I’ve done that also, but for those with short attention spans, here’s it quick for you 😅

Method:
Products added on soaking set hair (I added a leave in conditioner whilst in the shower) Brush hair and add @onlycurlslondon curl cream & enhancing gel

Section hair and @tangleteezer to brush style, scrunch and repeat to whole head

@wellastylinguki foam on roots and ends

@onlycurlslondon micro fibre towel to plopped hair for 20-30mins

@fudgehair blow dry aqua primer glazed over

@dysonbeauty diffuser attachment to hover diffuse on high heat and speed with head upside down until slight cast

@onlycurlslondon strong hold gel glazed over when hair is 80% dry, hover a little longer and start pixie diffuse on medium speed and heat until dry

Left cast in whilst I rewet fringe, dried that then used oil to clap & scrunch out the crunch.

@kevinmurphyuk flexible texturising hairspray to finish with for volume, texture & hold

Telling our friends and family the news 🥹🤍
Here are some that we managed to film, so much fun coming up with ways to tell everyone! Cannot stop smiling whilst watching these back, the reactions are just priceless! The joy, shock and tears of sheer happiness 🙌🏼 That moment when they realise makes you feel so loved 😭

Note to anyone who wants to record a FaceTime, make sure in settings you turn the mic on before as the last clip with Sarah had no sound as I didn’t know 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

In our own little bubble 🫧
When I shared the news last week I was really surprised by my own reaction, I instantly burst into tears. The sheer relief to share our little secret and our excitement. Followed by more happy tears reading all our comments of love, joy, congratulations and happiness for us, I’ve read every single one 🥹 We’re truly touched by all your comments and I’m so excited for this journey into motherhood. I really appreciate the messages of encouragement, advice and support 🤍 It’s all so unknown and I’m actively absorbing as much information from others shared online 🙌🏼

First trimester diaries 🥹🤍

I’ve been really lucky with the first trimester, no nausea, sickness or food aversions. Swipe to see how it went 🥰

Travelled to London to shoot our announcement 🥹

Our cats are really clingy to me 🥹

Sending pictures to each other of cute baby clothes (no we don’t know the gender yet)

Chester is always giving me kisses 🥰

Requesting my eggs not to be runny, the amount of things you find out you cannot eat!

Cocktails, Paul encouraged me to have a fun drink rather than I just usually get apple juice

Started bloating up more in the evenings

Smiling on my birthday, but having a week of migraines and high blood pressure

Food out with friends but realising I cannot eat big portions in one go, smaller meals are better as your digestion slows a lot and I’m in pain

Reality after the sunflower field is the pollen broke me out in hives, my skin is so sensitive to triggers and I’m so so itchy in the evenings now. Hoped to have shot our announcement here but at the scan we found out I was 9 weeks and not 12 🌻

Suffered a really bad eczema flare up on my hands which were really itchy and blistered for 3 weeks

Loved our holiday to Spain but I couldn’t deal with the heatwave there and really struggled

Friends party, had to come up with an excuse to why I wasn’t drinking 👀

Progression of tests! We found out so early!

Taking the third test, not agreeing that I was 6 weeks and definitely thought I was earlier. I was right 😅

Do you tell people early or not?

Spain photo dump 🇪🇸

We had so much fun exploring Murcia & Mojácar, although I’ve not experienced heat quite like it, this summer really was something else with all those heatwaves 😮‍💨 Lots of good food, amazing atmosphere with the football World Cup final and Paul even learnt how to make seafood paella 🙌🏼
