I’m choosing violence today (photographically speaking) 🙃

These photography habits are annoying for me to see, but they’re also costing YOU serious money and dream clients too 😫

If you’re still chasing the sun like it’s 2015, guessing your prices like you’re playing Russian roulette, and buying gear instead of mastering what you already have... then i have a lot of words for you.

The natural light thing especially gets me because I see photographers turning down those windowless studio gigs (hello, higher budgets!) while complaining they need more clients 🤦🏻‍♀️

And don’t get me started on the pricing guesswork. Your rates should be based on actual numbers, not whatever Sarah from the blogger Facebook group told you.

These might sting a little but trust me - fixing even ONE of these will transform your business faster than you think ✨

And if you want to finally ditch the weather dependency and master artificial lighting so you can say YES to any client, anywhere, anytime - comment PHOTO and I’ll send you A FREE TRAINING that’ll change everything (it reply shouldnt be free 🫪).

What’s the photography habit that makes YOU cringe? Tell me in the comments 👇 by @learn.phood

Artificial lighting isn’t just about throwing up a softbox and getting soft, diffused light.

Strategically adding extra lights can instantly elevate your images, draw attention to specific areas, and create something far more interesting than the next photographer on the gram.

Here, I used a second light to create harder shadows only in the top half of the image to add more depth and contrast.

The biggest mistake photographers make when adding extra lights? Letting them overpower the key light and create messy double shadows.

Freezing a splash isn’t about shutter speed — it’s about flash duration.

You need your strobe at 1/5000s or faster (T.1), which usually means lowering your power. Then build your exposure around that.

Let me know what questions you have below about freezing splash and getting a clean, sharp shot! by @learn.phood
