🚙🔋 ONE PIECE OF GEAR YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU PACKED! 🔋🚙

Recently, Helen and Shawn joined me for a caravan towing course with their new caravan and Isuzu D-Max. The course went really well, and they were ready to hit the road with confidence! 🚐👌

But we had a little unexpected hiccup along the way…

After taking a short break, we went to start the D-Max, only to discover the battery was flat! 😬

Luckily, I had my Oricom Lithium Jump Starter on board! 💪🔋

Camping breakfast on the go at Gundagai.
They even have a service to weigh caravan setup and a drive through parking thats undercover for van and vehicle and has own ensuite

A bit of fun from yesterday with Archie! 😂🚐

Archie is a young bloke starting a new job where he’ll need to reverse trailers into job sites, so we spent 3 hours covering a bit of everything he’ll need to know.

We started with the basics — hooking up safely, checking the trailer is level, loading correctly, and even a quick run-through of tying things down with straps and ropes.

Then it was time to get behind the wheel… 👊

✅ Straight-line reversing
✅ Reversing around bends
✅ Using markers to prevent jackknifing
✅ Understanding the limits of the vehicle and trailer
✅ Getting out of tight spots
✅ Three-point turns in a cul-de-sac
✅ U-turns at intersections
✅ Understanding how much road width you actually need
✅ And even a bit of “one day you might have a jet ski” practice around a boat ramp! 😂

One thing we really focused on was the jackknife point. When you're learning to reverse a trailer, setting a clear reference point can help you know when to stop before you get too far and potentially damage the vehicle or trailer.

We also took it out on the road and worked through some real-world situations rather than just practising in an empty car park.

Archie was a great student, keen to learn and willing to give everything a go.

And of course… we had to make a little stupid video along the way! 😂

Great day, great kid, and hopefully a few less stressful moments when he starts the new job. 💪🚐

After a great camping trip, the TurboJet Oz proved once again why it's one of our favourite bits of camping gear!

Here's how we used it during our trip:
✅ Blew firewood scraps out of the back of the ute.
✅ Cleaned camping tables and benches.
✅ Gave the campfire some extra air to get it burning quickly.
✅ Blew away fire ash and dirt around the camping chairs.
✅ Cleaned out the caravan step before packing up.
✅ We'll use it to clean the rest of the caravan before heading home.
✅ Once home, it's perfect for blowing the majority of the sand and dirt out from under the car seats before finishing off with a vacuum.

Leanne and Chris came all the way down from Hervey Bay to join us for a Learn 2 Tow session 🚐
Chris had already spent a fair bit of time behind the wheel of their big Chevy 1500, but for Leanne it was a whole new experience. We covered all the essentials of towing, building confidence step by step, and then got her out on the road.
And wow… she absolutely nailed it 🙌
There’s nothing better than seeing that moment when it all clicks — from feeling unsure to driving with confidence.
