Nemours Children’s Health was proud to partner with @jacksonvillezoo to host the beloved Teddy Bear Affair, a heartwarming event designed to bring joy, education and connection to families in our community on Saturday, November 1.

With over 1,000 families in attendance, the event was a resounding success! Children explored interactive stations led by Nemours Children’s associates from various medical departments. From learning how to care for their teddy bear to discovering how hospitals/ clinics help kids heal, the experience was both fun and educational. From x-rays and casting to mental health and nutrition, our guests experienced many clinical areas to better understand how to stay healthy! Guests even participated in a story time with local author @learnandplaywithdr.j!

Our team brought the magic of medicine to life through hands-on activities, engaging demonstrations and compassionate conversations—making health education approachable and memorable for all ages.

Thank you to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens for the beautiful setting, and to every family who joined us for a day filled with smiles, learning and love! by @learnandplaywithdr.j

What a week! My first week back from maternity leave has been filled with ALL the emotions! I miss my sweet babies at home, but I’ve definitely missed all my little patients, too! It feels so good to be back and doing what I love! 🩺❤️

And today was extra special because it’s Community Helper Day at school! Dr. Zoe was beyond excited to dress up like Mommy! Seeing her excitement makes my heart smile. Maybe I have a future pediatrician on my hands! 🥰💕🩺 by @learnandplaywithdr.j

Our hearts are so full as we welcome our sweet baby boy, Melvin Isaiah Jefferson, to the world. 💙

This journey has truly been miraculous from beginning to end, and every moment has reminded us of God’s faithfulness. Isaiah completes our family, and we are already so in love with him.

We are incredibly grateful for our amazing village of family and friends who have loved and supported us every step of the way. A special thank you to the wonderful teams Baptist South and Women’s Care for providing such exceptional care and making this experience so memorable.
