Today, we’re running on pasta and joy.

Last night, we gathered at @parm with our NYC Marathon runners, Anna, Jess, and Esayas, for a little carb loading and a lot of good company.

Friends, family, Learning Ally employees, and volunteers filled the room with laughter, hugs, and plenty of excitement for today’s big race.

It’s a pretty incredible weekend for Learning Ally. For the first time in our 78-year history, we’re part of the TCS New York City Marathon, right here in the city where our story began.

Today, Anna, Jess, and Essayas will run 26.2 miles. Along the course, familiar faces will hold homemade signs, cheer loudly, and hope to catch a glimpse of our runners as they race by.

Last night taught us that some of the best parts of a marathon happen before the starting line.

Looks like @learning_ally x @superpowermentors just became friends! 🤙🚀

And let’s just say… the chemistry was electric!!!

Today, we had the honor of welcoming some of Learning Ally’s senior leadership team to Superpower Mentors HQ.

When two organizations that share a passion for empowering the next generation sit around the same table, you can feel the possibilities. But this meeting was especially personal for me.

Growing up with learning differences, Learning Ally was a lifeline. Their audiobooks gave me access to textbooks, helped me pass my classes, and changed what was possible for me as a student.

Nearly eight decades later, they’re still changing lives.

To go from being a student who relied on Learning Ally to sitting across the table from their leadership, exploring how we can impact the next generation together… talk about a full-circle moment.

Something tells me this friendship is just getting started. 🧠🚀💙 by @learning_ally

Race day is almost here!

On November 1st, our three incredible runners will take on the NYC Marathon to help students with dyslexia and other reading differences access the audiobooks they need and want to read.

Thanks to our amazing community, we're close to our fundraising goal!

78 years of Learning Ally, and it's the people who make our story so special.

This week, we welcomed longtime volunteers to our Princeton office for Dyslexia Day, and we were honored to spend the day reminiscing with them.

Our CEO, Howard Bell III, guided volunteers on a walk through our history, sharing photos of Learning Allies meeting presidents like Dwight D. Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy, and visiting one of our original soundproof recording booths.

The stories our volunteers shared were just as special. One volunteer, MaryFran, has narrated more than 100 audiobooks for students with dyslexia and other reading differences!

Along the way, organizations like @bristolmyerssquibb have helped make this work possible, including support for our recording resources like the soundproof booth pictured.

To all the volunteers and partners who have been part of our story over the past 78 years, thank you. We're so grateful to have you as Learning Allies!

A little something special is headed to our Race to Read winners!

This week, Learning Ally volunteers and employees from @princetonfedcu came together to pack 40 prize kits for students and educators participating in our Race to Read program.

Each box includes headphones to help students enjoy their audiobooks, along with a little encouragement from the Learning Allies cheering them on.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time to make these packages possible. We can't wait for our winning students and educators to receive them!
