✨ Loyola University students in the course, “Mathematics for Elementary Teachers: Algebraic” found their warm-up partners by matching a place value block representation to its standard form. Then, they worked with their partner to find the “oddball” (which one doesn’t fit) in place value problems around the room. Modeling for these future teachers the importance of movement, partner work, and quick warm-ups to get their brains ready to learn! 🧠 ✨ @loyolamaryland #adjunctfaculty #futureteachers #math #mathteacher #teachersintraining by @learning_with_lauer_lady

✨ Post worthy update! ✨ Back to teaching… adjunct! Adjunct/affiliate instructor, Part 2. Had a great first night of class teaching elementary math to Elementary Education majors at Loyola University! You can take the girl out of teaching [in a public school setting], but you can’t take teaching out of the girl! Life is interesting how things end up working out! #loveyourjourney #teacher by @learning_with_lauer_lady

So weird to think that FOUR years ago I decided to resign from my 18-year teaching career and was finishing out my final quarter of the school year. It feels so good to now be on the other side and be able to reflect on how good of a decision that was!! 🐯 🖤 💛 🤍 ✨ Love that I’m able to still work in the education world, just now at the higher ed level! And these campus views can’t be beat! 😍 #highereducation #formereducator #transitionedteacher by @learning_with_lauer_lady
