This was the worst I was told at the time.

It's been ten years and I haven't forgotten those words or who said it.

As a Mom, if you are not intentional, you will have you asking yourself "what really am i doing with my time everyday"?.

Time flies so fast you have to move with it.
As a Mom, to achieve your goals, you have to be able to manage your time.

Here are a few ways to manage your life.

. Start with one simple plan.

Build one helpful routine.

Ask for help when you need it.

Make room for yourself, too.

With time, you'll discover what works best for you and your family.

Remember, the goal isn't to become a superwoman who does everything,

It's to create a life where you can work, care for your family, and still have room to care for yourself.

My understanding of being a mother has changed over the years.

I used to think so much about the kind of children I wanted to raise. Children who are kind, confident, bold, respectful, emotionally intelligent, and able to stand up for themselves.

And I still want all of that.

But I'm also beginning to understand that while I'm raising them, I'm raising myself, too.

I'm learning patience. I'm learning to give myself grace. I'm discovering parts of myself I may have neglected, nurturing my dreams, and reminding myself that I am still a whole person outside motherhood.

I want my children to grow up knowing that they matter, but I also want them to see that their mother's dreams matter, too.

I want them to see me learning, growing, trying new things, making mistakes, and getting back up again.
Not because I have motherhood all figured out, but because I'm learning that I don't have to be perfect to be intentional.

I'm a mother, yes. But I'm also a woman who is still becoming.

And that's one of the most beautiful parts of this journey: we get to grow with the little humans we're raising.

I'm raising them, and I'm raising myself, too. 🥹❤️

When I look back, I realise that motherhood has been one of the most beautiful, challenging, humbling and transformative journeys of my life.

I have had MOMENTS 😄, we all have 😄.

I am learning that being a mother isn't about having it all figured out, it's about growing, learning becoming more intentional and giving ourselves the grace to be human while raising little humans. 🥰

Some days I get it right other days, I get it wrong 🫠some other days, I learn and then some days, I'm doing a lot of a bit of all.😵‍💫

Through it all I'm becoming more aware of the kind of mother I want to be, the kind of children I hope to raise and the kind of woman I still want to become beyond motherhood.

Hi, it's the Learningmumm space and I am Damilola ❣️👋🏽

I'm a mum, a wife, an entrepreneur and a woman figuring things out one day at a time.

I am navigating motherhood, family, work, personal growth and all the beautiful chaos that comes with being me 😁

I'm not a perfect Mom.
I'm simply a mom who wants to keep learning...

My motherhood journey has taught me so much about love, patience, intentionality and myself. And one thing I'm learning is that while we're busy raising our children are also growing and evolving.

I want to be a mother who continues to learn, explore, grow and live a fulfilling Life.

I don't just want to raise children who know how to behave.

I want to raise children who know who they are. 😇

Children who can walk into a room and not feel smaller because everyone else seems bigger.

Children who can speak confidently, but also know how to listen.

Children who can stand up for themselves without putting someone else down.

Children who are kind, but not afraid to say no.

Children who can express how they feel instead of being taught to bury their emotions.

Children who are curious.
Who ask questions.
Who think for themselves.
Who are bold enough to try.

And beneath all of that, I want them to have strong values and a solid foundation in their faith.

Because good grades, good manners and achievements are wonderful,

But I also want to raise good humans.

And here's the part I'm learning,

I can't just tell them to be these things.

They are watching me.

So while I'm raising them,

I AM ALSO LEARNING TO BECOME THE WOMAN. I WANT THEM TO SEE.

A woman who is confident.
A woman who keeps learning.
A woman who tries again.
A woman who pursues her dreams.
A woman who knows her values and stands by them.

Maybe that's what we're all doing as mothers,

Raising them.
Raising ourselves and
Growing together. 💕

For a long time, I didn't know exactly what Learning Mumm was supposed to become...

It started with my own motherhood journey. Pregnancy, Loss, Becoming a mother, Learning how to raise little humans while figuring myself out along the way.

And somewhere in between, I realised, Motherhood isn't just about raising children.

It's also about becoming.
Becoming more patient.
More intentional.
More self-aware.
More courageous.
More whole.

I want to raise children who are confident, kind, emotionally intelligent, bold, articulate and grounded in strong values.

But I also want them to look at their mother and see a woman who is still learning, still dreaming, still trying, still growing.

So this is me opening this space again.
Not as the perfect mum.
Not as the mum who has all the answers.

Just as a Learning Mumm. 🩷
