Tomorrow is the first Monday of August which means professional development starts and I have a week and a half to prep for my incoming group of students. With this comes the nerves and anxiety of what’s to come. But last night I got to be in a stadium worshipping God with more than 30,000 believers. Last night was truly an unforgettable night and the best way to start the upcoming school year. Last night was full of reminders that the God who created the universe is the same God who has gone before us in everything. That doesn’t mean there won’t be hard days but when those days come there is a God who will carry those burdens for you.

Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭31‬-‭34‬ says: Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

So as we go into this new school year I’m praying for you all, myself, and all the incoming classes, that we would release our burdens to the Lord and rely on His unfailing strength.
