I couldn’t be more excited about my position for next year! As someone who has moved classrooms 6 times (& redecorated about a dozen times), I am full of tips & tricks that have come from making mistakes and learning from them during classroom set up!Here are just a few of the classrooms & themes I’ve had over the years and a tip to go with each.1) Blush & Blues - this is one of my favorite decor lines because it’s both calm & colorful.DECOR TIP: have a plan for printing! I used this decor when I taught abroad, so I color printed everything before moving there. If you don’t have a color printer or color printing at your school, you can color print at a local Staples, Office Depot, CVS, etc.BONUS TIP: you can always do a lot with decor with black & white printing! I love printing out giant block letters to create quotes on my walls :)2) Dreamy Neutral - everyone complimented how ✨calm✨ my classroom was with this decor! You can also match just about anything to it!DECOR TIP: you don’t need to buy a lot of extra things for your classroom (furniture, pillows, etc) - sometimes minimal is best!3) Teal - this wasn’t a specific decor line, but I do think it is fun to have a pop of color in your class!DECOR TIP: don’t choose a color you don’t love! I got tired of the teal so fast :(4) Chic Jungle - such a FUN decor line! Enough said!DECOR TIP: you can go a LONG way with just a digital decor bundle. If I only had $50 to spend on my classroom decor, the only things I would buy would be a decor line, bulletin board paper, & borders!These 3 decor lines can all be found in my TPT store, as well as the following lines:-Wild & Bright (colorful, bright & spotted)-Our Happy Place (retro groovy & bright)-Eras Tour Decor (disco balls, butterflies, & sparkles)-She Teaches Fifth Collab (groovy floral)Let me know if you want any of these & I’ll send them to you!😊💛✨ by @learningwithlauren

Unreleased files from my time abroad living & teaching in Spain!🇪🇸😂Though it’s been over a year since my time living in Spain, the country & culture will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart.And soccer (fútbol) is such a huge part of that culture, I just know that all my former students & all my friends in Spain are celebrating BIG right now!Miss them every day & I am so grateful that I got to have this experience! I miss their little voices, their sweet laughs, the inside jokes & memories we made together every day. Summer break always has me grateful for time to recharge but at the same time missing the part I love most about teaching: my students. And both can be true! by @learningwithlauren

I wish I knew these tips my first year(s) teaching!!!Honestly I spent a lot of money on my classroom those first few years that got “wasted” (the quality didn’t hold up, it just didn’t get used, or our class outgrew it)Now, I don’t shop at any teacher supply stores and only shop from these places!Share this with someone who’s setting up a classroom this fall!🩷✨ by @learningwithlauren

A few classroom decor favorites!✨✏️🌿As I start thinking about what I want to add/change for next year, I looked through all my photos from different classrooms over the years (I’ve moved classrooms 6 times😅😆)Here are a few spaces in my room, little details, or finishing touches that make me really happy when I look at them.If you want ideas for your classroom next year or you’re not sure where to start, start here for ideas!Some of my best tips include: shop at home decor stores (for things like lamps, mirrors, pillows), print off your own decor (like my Pinterest prints and/or classroom bundles), pick a theme/color scheme that feels like you, check out Facebook marketplace & thrift stores for great finds!Hope this provides some inspiration ☺️✨ by @learningwithlauren

Last week we were making memories in forts, now our classroom is ready for summer cleaning 🥹😭The end of the year/start of summer break will always be the most bittersweet thing to me as a teacher. Usually by mid May, I am so mentally & physically ready for a break so I can reset and recharge. But it’s also the time when my relationships are strongest with my students as we’ve spent 10 months together making memories.I guess the fact that saying goodbye is always hard proves that I’m doing something I love & something that matters💛Grateful for all the joy, laughter, & learning that happened in this space this year. Also very grateful for summer break so I can recharge & be ready for my next group of kiddos this fall!💛✏️✨ by @learningwithlauren
