On Saturday, May 21, I lost my best friend, my partner in crime, my rock, my everything… my dad.

My dad gave me strength when I felt weak and believed in me even when I could not believe in myself. He always made me smile, no matter how down I felt, and he supported me without judgment. He was always there for me, always the one I could count on, dropping everything he was doing just to be there as soon as he could. My dad did EVERYTHING for his daughters and for the people he loved, and it is truly not fair that he was taken from us so soon. I will never understand why God takes the best people so suddenly, without warning, and leaves the rest of us to carry that loss. It just doesn’t feel real.

Daddy, I miss you so much.

I miss your jokes,
I miss your laugh,
I miss your selflessness,
I miss your supportiveness,
I miss your love of adventure,
I miss your fearlessness,
I miss your confidence,
I miss your rants,
I miss your candidness,
I miss your compassion,
I miss your hugs,
I miss your love,
I miss your comforting presence.
I MISS YOU.
Every. Single. Day.

May you Rest in Peace. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to have you back here with me.

Until we meet again… 🕊️
