The region is a wonderland in the winter. Go to Chelsea for bonfires, the spa @nordikchelsea and amazing pizza from Roberto’s. You can also rent skis and snowshoes there and explore the trails. Wakefield houses many cozy pubs often with live music. Or, stay in at the cottage, set up a lawn chair on the ice and then come in for a glass of wine, fire and sauna. by @leboncabanon

The bathroom was the most satisfying transformation. I decided to take down a wall and expand it into the adjacent closet in the main bedroom and move the toilet. The vanity, my favourite piece in the whole cottage, was bought from a local vintage collector. The light was purchased on Etsy and came from Poland. The tiles were purchased from @eurotilestone in Toronto.

Le Bon Cabanon. One hour 15 from Ottawa, 50 minutes from Chelsea, my favourite town which houses @nordikchelsea, the largest spa in North America. 40 minutes from Wakefield an incredible town on the Gatineau River. Close to skill hills, endless waterways, hidden swimming holes, cafes, farm stands and maple syrup huts, the area is a gem all year round. The renovations were a labour of love and I can’t wait to share the whole journey. Coming to AirBnB mid November. Soon to be managed by the amazing @alltenwards taken in Alleyn-et-Cawood, Quebec by @leboncabanon
