🛑 Stop calling everything a font.

In this post, you’ll learn the real difference between a typeface, a font, and the categories of typefaces.

What you usually call a “font” is actually a typeface.
👉 A typeface is the overall design — like Poppins.
👉 A font is a specific style and weight of that typeface — like Poppins Bold 16pt.
👉 And Poppins belongs to the Sans Serif classification — more specifically, the Geometric Sans Serif category.

💬 Think of it this way:
Typeface = Family
Font = One member of that family
Classification = The style group the family belongs to

Let’s use the right words — because good design begins with the right vocabulary. 🎨
