If you’ve been around Portland in the last 20 years, you have certainly enjoyed Dana’s hospitality and unique perspective on wine. From Bar Norman to Wild Bunch to High Five Selections, we’ve been fans of Dana for years and we are honored to have her join us here at L’Echelle.

We’re trying something a little different this weekend: our noon seatings on Saturday and Sunday are open to walk-ins. First come, first served.
Come to L’Echelle Community Hall at noon and we’ll seat you wherever there’s room. Already have tickets? Your seat is held, nothing changes for you.

Brunch starts TOMORROW!!!

Portland brunch lovers, L’Echelle brunch launches this weekend: Saturday and Sunday, with seatings at 10:00am and noon. $55 per person (beverages and gratuity additional). Enjoy communal dining with neighbors in our new event space… L’Echelle Community Hall.

The set-course format is a departure for the “casual, candlelit, effortlessly elegant” bistro we named our 2025 Restaurant of the Year.“L’Echelle has always been à la carte, choose your own adventure,” Dirks said. At brunch, dishes will be individually plated, but guests will eat the same thing at the same time as friends and neighbors around long tables at the newly christened L’Echelle Community Hall, near the garden where the bistro got its start.

We’ve launched a new menu here at L’Echelle — come join us on this exciting new chapter!

Pictured here: black cod so tender it practically falls apart on principal, with pickled and charred Jimmy Nardello peppers, purslane and basil to complement the richness of the fish, all swimming in a nage of our Sungold vinaigrette brought up with butter.

We decided that life is too short to not finally offering an illustrious combination to our guests here at L’Echelle. Steak Frites has entered the building, and frankly, we see no reason to argue with it. 🤭🥩

We’re open Wednesday to Sunday, and remember it’s always first-come first-serve at our bar, so don’t be afraid to walk on in, the fries are expecting you. by @lechellepdx

MEET THE CHEF: MIKA PAREDES OF L’ÉCHELLE 🍅

Chef Mika Paredes is a Portland-based chef and entrepreneur who serves as Executive Chef of L’Échelle and owner of Cornet Custard. Her cooking blends French technique with seasonal Pacific Northwest ingredients, creating food that is approachable, memorable, and deeply personal.

For Summer Supper, Mika is bringing a late-summer tartine featuring grilled country bread topped with seasonal ratatouille and whipped Brie.

Come taste what she’s making and celebrate 20 years of Urban Gleaners with us!

PORTLAND! We’re having a Seconds Sale 🍂

Come hang with us at @lechellepdx on Saturday, September 12 from 10–3! We'll have tons of mugs, bowls, plates, one-offs, and plenty of other good stuff.

These are pieces with little imperfections that didn’t quite make the cut for our regular collection, but are still very beautiful (and very usable). They deserve good homes!

And a little L’Échelle love while we’re here... they’ve been so nice to host us in their beautiful space for this event two years in a row. The space is available to book for private events, too! If you’re planning a celebration, dinner, holiday party, or gathering, definitely keep them in mind.
